TRUE COLOURS THRUSDAY - SILVER

Good Morning,
And welcome to
True Colours Thurday.
Miss Blue is our host today
and our color is SILVER.
If you'd like to play along,
go over to her blog and let her know.
Then you're in!
It's that easy.

When Mom and Dad
went to the Scottie Specialty Show,
the room seemed to be full
of silver grooming arms.

e
And one handler had this big silver case
full of those torturous tools.

When Mom grooms us,
the first thing she does is
use these silver wire combs to
make sure we are combed out
and don't have any tangles.

And then she uses the clippers
with silver blades
to clean up our face and ears,
being very careful not to
touch our beards with them.

She then uses
silver stripping "knives"
on our backs and tails
and our skirts
so we can keep our pleasing
wirey coats.

And silver scissors like this
to blend everything in
and cut off any hair that
sticks out where it shouldn't be.

Here's a little sample of Howl-o-ween
with Carrleigh trying on her
silver witch's hat.

Have a wonderful day.

XOXO
Piper, Carrleigh and Java

PS - our first poster today is a new Scottie friend.
Please go by and visit Ladybug
and give her a good DWB welcome.

Hi! I was pointed in this direction by Dawn at Cottage State of Mind. I own a Scottie also which you can meet at my blog site Ladybug Dreams. brtowsleyblogs.blogspot.com
Well of course my Scotties name is Ladybug. Come visit sometime, I have enjoyed visiting you. Oh and as for all your grooming supplies. I have 2 brushes so far and Ladybug does not like either. Heavens knows how she comes back from the groomer looking so good. She is about 11 months old.

Hello Rocky Creek Scottie,
All my dogs in my adult life have had short coats. I like to bursh once a day!! We have one brush and one comb. Bruce loved to be brushed, Joker did not and Amanda did not, Bambi loves it. The difference, I had Bruce at 7 weeks & Bambi at around 4 months and she would have done anything to please me, bless her heart. Joker & Amanda were mature dogs and already had their likes and dislikes established.
Love ya all, Bambi and Fern

It does seem like a lot of torture tools are silver, but so are our food bowls.

Goodness you are so organized. You wouldn't like to adopt two boyz would you ? Your grooming skills look as though they are more than up to the task - ours certainly aren't.

I was sure you'd have a picture of a silver lab puppy

OK, you have to admit that the little witch is the best picture of the lot.

My stripping is just about over... She doesn't strip me Herself; I go to my Godmother's for that. I love it! I'll be done next week. Aaaah! A nice, hard coat.

We have a silver comb here too but those other items of silver grooming tools look like torture tools. The witch gal is very cute.

We will go meet Ladybug now.

I love the little witchy hat, but I am shaking looking at all those grooming tools. I think I am going to be sick. I will change the subject thank you for telling me about Ladybug, I love making new friends. I will go and visit her now.

licks and sniffs, Sasha

Wow, that grooming business sure looks like a lot of work! Glad all I have to put up with is an occasional bath, toenail trim & face wrinkle wide-out! My sympathies on all the torture devices!!

Good thing we switched to Decaf coffee when we read these blogs - those silvery tools of torture can give a girl the shakes. I HATE the groomer - in fact I know we are near by whatever route D takes. I try to hang on to my sheep wool for as long as possible. Love the witch hat - but you look too cute and innocent to be anything but LUVERLY. Hope your Mom gets better - lots of licks

Yep. We're coming to recognize those silver tools, too. Moma drug 'em out the other day. She hadn't used 'em on us (or on her sweet Molly for the last few years of her life.) But, so far, so good.

Slowly catching up,
