Here's our driveway
leading from the house to the main road.
If you stand in the road
close to the woods
you can see
leading from the house to the main road.
If you stand in the road
close to the woods
you can see
the field that Mom calls
"the Joe field"
because her uncle used
to have a house in this field.
Now it is pasture.
And our house,
granary and barn.
Autumn is coming fast to our farm

Mom designed this doll
for our friend, Vicki.
Vicki collects horns
and the doll's name is
Horatio Hornblower.
His story says that when you
think you hear the wind howling
through the trees on a
crisp Fall night,
it's really Horatio trying out his horns.
Every aspect of him,
except his basket itself,
was hand made and designed by Mom,
even the horns.

OMG!! Yall are so lucky to actually have a fall! The trees are so beautiful!! I hope this rain and humidity goes away soon, and I get some cool, fall weather! I hope your mom feels better!!
Love,
Janie
We love your countryside... the winding road and the fields and pastures and the silo and the trees and the colors and the skies and even the smells that we have to imagine ... for now! Horatio is quite a handsome little dude.... looks like he could be the conductor of the Youth Orchestra where our Girl played her horn (the OH BO!). All he needs is a baton in his hand! Hehehe!
Looks like you're enjoying this beautiful season... we hope your Moma gets released on Friday in time to bring LIlly home and to enjoy the weekend!
Love you guys,
Jake and Fergi xxoo
It sure looks pretty where you live. You mom is very talented. That little doll is really neat.
Lovely rolling pastures and colorful leaves. But where is the wheelie?
Slobbers,
Mango
Those are beautiful pictures,, Love the gorgeous colours.. Hope mums well enough for Friday.. Hugs GJ xx
Beautiful countryside you live in! Our fall colors are pretty much gone (except for the aspens), and we are getting brown here. Mom says we are going to "go south" for a month - in a couple of weeks - to get out of the brown, before the Serious Snow starts.

What a beautiful, tranquil place you live in! Mom says it's such a pretty drive through WV, and she is sad she has missed out on it this year! Best wishes for Lilly, hope she is home soon - save her some candycorn, OK?
