ENTERTAINING OURSELVES INSIDE

With the cold weather

we've been having - 

we've been inside a lot -

that means a lot of naps

and games.

  

 One of a terrier's favorite games

 

 is "bitey-face".

 And we puppies

have to learn

 

 at an early age

 

what big teeth

our Mommas have!!

THIRTEEN WEEKS AND LEARNING

No matter how cute a puppy is

and we think that Celti

is a real cutie,

there soon comes a time

when they must learn things

that we big dogs take for granted.

    

Too soon all Scotties must learn

that their people pleasing profile

is a haircut -

otherwise we'd all just look like

busy little warthogs!!

See how fast Celti's hair

has grown above her ear.

     

 Learning to stand

in a noose

is always something

that a puppy wants to fight.

 It's nice to be up high

where you can look around

and see everything.

 But Mom keeps trying to get her

to "stack" and "sit still".

She'll soon get it.

 

 

Before we know it,

she'll be as patient as Piper,

who rarely even

needs a noose anymore.

RARELY SEEN

There is so much talk

about Scotties

on this blog

that you rarely

get to see our farmdog, Ivy.

 

 Ivy loves the snow

and the rain.

FROM MUDDY PAWS TO FROSTY PAWS

 Check out this rain -

it rained from

last Sunday to Thursday,

then the weather started to cool.

 On Thursday evening,

we looked out and

it was snowing about

2 inches an hour.

 

 When we got up on Friday morning,

we had about 8 inches

of snow and ice

(and no power).

Today,

we still have now power,

but are excited that we won

Frosty Paws

over on 

Benny and Lilly's blog -

we think we'll let the weather

warm up a bit

before we try them though!!

12 WEEKS OLD

WE'VE BEEN REMISS

We've got to get

 

 back in the habit

 of doing our weekly updates

on puppy photos.

(we just noticed that Blogger

loaded these exactly backwards

from the way we did -

what's up with that?)

THE DREADED....

....BATH!!

 First a girl

has to learn to

"sit pretty"

on the grooming table.

  

 Then she has to have her fur

all combed until there are 

NO more tangles.

Sometimes she gets

a bit of fur trimmed off -

you can see if you look close

that one ear was trimmed

before she got too wiggly.

  

 The water 

must be just

the right temperature.

 And it should taste good too!!

 

 Next comes the shampoo

and then

the best part!!

All puppies love

to be wrapped in a towel

and cuddled.

A NEW TOY

 Out of all 

of the new toys,

we got for 

Christmas and birthday presents,

(there will soon be a post about them)

Little Miss Celti

found one of her own. 

 Here she is - 

can you tell what she has?

 She attacked it

before the rope toy

could get it.

 

 She's got it - 

that mean old rope

doesn't have a chance.

 Then she wanted to get

into the puppy box

to hide it.

 

Don't let Mom know

that I've taken her sock!!

It's the best toy ever!

NEW BEGINNINGS

Our Mom always says,

"The happiest days

are the days

when healthy Scottie puppies come"

We think there are some others

who feel this way too!! 

 MacAdoo

is going to go live in Maryland

with Shannon and Regina.

His Grandmother, Sharon,

is in the middle,

with her Scottie, Jazzi.

You might remember 

when Sharon came to 

Rocky Creek Farm

to get Jazzi - 

it's been almost two years. 

  

 Here is Wallace

with his peeps,

James and Taylor.

Penny went to 

Little Rock, AR

to live with them.

She will share a blog

with her Mom and Wallace.

   

 Sweet Gavin

went to Spout Spring, VA

to live with his brother, Monty

and their peeps,

Cindy and George.

   

Finlay will be

living with his brother, Duncan,

and their peeps,

Eva and Greg,

in CT.

And Miss Celti-poo
will be staying 
right here on
Rocky Creek Farm
with us!!
