WE INTERUPT THESE GROOMING SESSIONS........

...to introduce you
to our newest furiend.

This is HOKE -
"the wild Westie".

Hoke lives in NJ
with his Mom and Dad.

Please go by and give this cutie
a great big snoof
and welcome him to our DWB world.

THE HANDSOME RED KING GETS A 'GO' AT IT

And our furiend
and fellow Scottie,
Snazzi Jazzi
was right in her prediction -
Ruairi got to go next.

Ruairi was really starting
to look pretty scruffy.
In fact, Mom was afraid
that if he got loose
someone might mistake him
for a pesky groundhog!

So she worked on him a bit.
He's still not finished.
Mom is trying to learn to hand strip
so she is taking all of us
to see her mentor on Friday -
she has shown many dogs
and is a "pro" at Scottie grooming -
she will instruct Mom on
how to get the
Ruairi Boy
in great shape -
and then we'll have a real "after" photo.

CARRLEIGH GETS A TURN

Once Lilly was finished with her transformation,
Mom decided Carrleigh
would be next.

Carr is a portly girl
who starts looking a bit like a sheep
when she needs grooming.

Here she is before
Mom got a hold of her.
Eyebrows so long
you can barely see her eyes.

And here's our beautiful girl
after her turn on the grooming table -
even the wind cooperated with her
and she thought she was a model
as it blew across her face.

Who will be next?
Only the exhausted Mom
knows for sure.

THE TRANSFORMATION OF LILLYBUG

One of the reasons,
you haven't seen us around the blogs very much
is that we needed grooming so very bad.
Today, Mom had to make a choice -
groom the dogs
or clean the house.

And she chose to gro
om the dogs -
at least until we wear her down.

Look at what a mess Miss Lilly got into -
weeds on her beard

and eyebrows so long
she could barely see under them -
Mom told her she was beginning
to look more like a Skye Terrier
than a Scottie.

Mom trimmed her a bit
with the scissors
before she got her bath.

And now look at her -
she is still the "queen"
of
Rocky Creek Farm.

Who will be next?
We're hiding out so maybe
Mom won't find the rest of us.

THE AUTUMNAL EQUINOX IS HERE

There are a lot of signs
showing up at our house
that point to Fall.

We see Kandy Korn
and peanuts on our kitchen table -
and occasionally we get to have some.

The leaves on the trees are starting
to turn beautiful colors.

And Mom has started
searching for our Halloween costumes -
we hope we hid them well this time.

WE JUST HAD TO SHARE SOME OF THESE PHOTOS

As most of you know,
our Sissy, Kat,
is a
tall ship sailor.

This past weekend
marked the end of their season
with
The Dana Point Tall Ships Festival.

And as usual,
she took so many incredible photos,
it was hard for us to choose the ones
we wanted to post.

She even got to light the cannon -
now those kind of boomers
would probably make our toenails shiver!!

The ship is back at the docks
and cleaned for the Winter.

And she is looking
for another place to hang around.

IT'S CARRLEIGH'S "GOTCHA DAY"

It's our beautiful
Carrleigh's
"Gotcha" Day.

Two years ago today,
Mom and Dad
brought us a surprise -
and at first we weren't so sure
that we liked it.
They left us (Lilly and Piper)
at the Spa
while they traveled to
Paducah, KY
to pick up our sweet Carrleigh.
We worked things out
and now we all get along great.
We're happy we have her.

THE PUPPY THAT JAZZI NAMED

You may remember
that when we had our
"Name That Puppy" Contest,
that our Scottie furiend,
Snazzi Jazzi
named one of the puppies
Jasmine.

When she lived with us,
little Jasmine's name
got shortened to Jazz
and then it morphed to Snaz.

Snaz and Snickers
had to be twins -
they had the same
dynamic personality.

Snickers can be seen at
The Strawberry Mallard Blog -
she is now the precious
Becky Blue Bonnet.

We still think they look alike.
Finleigh (aka Snaz)
likes to garden
just like her sister, Becky.

And they both have
extremely long eyelashes
like their Mother, Carrleigh.

Check out this
tongue action -
it kinda reminds us
of their Father, Piper.

And here's
our little Finleigh
showing her Dad
some love.
Oh, these pupdates
always make us smile-
it makes our day
when we see an email
from one of them.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi
