HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN

We thought you might know
just how we are all related
to each other.

Before we ever had
any Scotties,
we had our
Angel JavaBean.

As you can see,
he was quite hip
and loved
"that old time rock and roll".

Our Scottie clan started with
our Angel Lilly

Lilly was a
Christmas gift
from our sweet Dad
to our Mom.

That went over so well,
the next year
she got another
Scottie for Christmas.

That's when we got
our charming Piper.

A few months later,
Lilly's breeder called Mom
to tell her that she (the breeder)
was critically ill.

She thought the best place
for one of her adult Scotties
would be in our home.

That's when our
fairy princess,
Carrleigh,
came to live with us.

Before long
Carrleigh and Piper
had a litter of nine puppies
and the next year,
they had a litter of eight puppies.

Now Carrleigh is retired
and lives
with our human sissy
in California.

We loved one of the puppies
so much that he stayed
here at
Rocky Creek Farm
with us for a while.

He was the
handsome red king
and his name was
Ruairi.

Ruairi lived with us
for about 18 months
but now he lives with
a sweet family
in Washington State.

In the meantime,
Piper and Lilly
had a couple of litters
of precious buglets.

We were so taken
with the beauty
of one of their buglets,
we decided to keep her.

That is where
we got our
gorgeous Celti
who is the mother
of the litter of buglets
that we have now.

In addition to
Piper and Celti,
we also have
the buglets true uncle -
AM CH Victorian Autumn Rhapsody
but we call him,
Argyle.

He is the Scottie
on the right.
His "sister" angel, Colleen
is on the left.

And last but not least
is our farm dog Ivy.

She was a little cutie
at one time
but now she's a grown dog
who lives outside.

Happy Howl-O-Ween

ALL DRESSED UP AND NO PLACE TO GO

Mom has been working
on Halloween costumes
for the buglets.

This morning,
she could wait no longer
to try them on
and share the photos.

 Miss Snazzi Jazzi
all ready for a luau -
Mai Tai, anyone?

Rabbie is happy
that he is going to a family
that enjoys sports.

 Winston is just about
the cutest
Beanie Baby
we've ever seen.

And Pearl,
our little pumpkin.
Isn't she sweet?

DO, DO, DO, LOOKIN' OUT OUR FRONT DOOR

Yesterday,
we were in the house,
just minding our own business.

Celti was watching over
The Sweet Buglets
while Mom was
changing their bed.

 Celti had to
check out the bed
and make sure it was
juuuuust right.

 Then the buglets
went in.
It's always a race
to see who can be
the first one to piddle
on a clean bed.

But while we were doing this,
Dad was outside.

And look what he saw
right outside our front door!!

Turkeys - about 50 of them.
And they wouldn't let us out
to go chase them.

THE RAINS CAME DOWN....

Yesterday,
it was business as usual.

Some puppies sleeping
and
one puppy trying
to get everypuppy woke up.

 Then we heard Mom gasp
and looked up
over the puppy bed.

We saw drip, drip, drip.

When you live
in a dilapidated old farmhouse,
sometimes you have to deal
with a leaky roof.

 By the time Mom
got the puppy box moved,

 Everyone was awake
and
ready to rumble!!

 So our puppy box
is in the middle of the floor
this morning.

Thankfully, we didn't suffer
any leaks in the night.

Momma Celti
slept right by the baby's bed
so she could be alerted
to any problems
at a moments notice.

XOXO,
Piper, Celti, Argie, Ivy
and
The Sweet Buglets

PS - time to go for a walk
in the rain.
We don't think we'll be singing!!

WHERE'S MY PUPPY-WUPPY?

When the puppies
are about three weeks old,
they get to hear our Mom's puppy yell
for the first time.

"Where's my puppy-wuppy?"

 And then they get
their first try
at eating puppy gruel.
Celti jumped in to
show them how it's done.

 This morning,
they responded a little bit
when they heard the call.

 But they like the food
that Celti supplies best!!

Our memorial stone
has arrived for our sweet buglets,
Lilly and Bailey.

And our sweet sissy/daughter
sent us a miniature Scottie
from Carroll Hill Farms
as a remembrance.

She also sent us a mug
with her photograph on it!!

Our Mom says,
"The best part of waking up
is Becky on your cup".

SOMETIMES MOMS GET A BIT LAZY

I guess you can blame
our lack of posting yesterday
on birthday celebrations
or
MOM'S LAZINESS!!

 But what a difference
two days makes.

These puppies are
really entertaining us
by running around
and starting
to play puppy games.

 Even when Celti
gets in the box,
not all of them
are nursing
at the same time.

 And here they are,
sleeping,
girls together.

Boys together.

TIMES - THEY ARE A CHANGIN'

Even though
there are only four puppies
in this litter,
sometimes
they are really hard
to tell apart.

Basically we have
two sets of twins -
maternal twins.

And since they've started
toddling around some,
their nail polish
is starting to
wear off easily.

So last night,
Mom decided
it was time for collars!!

Instead of her usual
one color for boys
and a different color for girls,
she switched it up a bit.
Now Jazzi has a red collar
and
Pearl has a green collar.

 Rabbie has a green collar
and
Winston has a red collar.

Last night Mom
heard a puppy crying
and she thought
one had got
out of the whelping box.

When she looked,
there were three
out of the whelping box
and the one that was left in
was the one that was crying.

So today,
they have new quarters -
they have moved
into the puppy box
and are in our living room.

 With their new collars,
you should be able to
tell them apart.
The girls are the light ones
and the boys are more cinnamon.

You should hear them chattering
as they explore!!

We put down heavy plastic,
a layer of baby powder,
newspaper,
a layer of baby powder,
a folded flat sheet,
a layer of baby powder
and another sheet on top.

We like to keep our puppies
smelling sweet!!

And on to other things...

Today is Celti's third birthday!!

And we also want to wish a
Happy Birthday
to all of her clan!!

Happy Birthday
Penny, MacAdoo, Gavan and Finlay!!
We hope you
have a spectacular day!!

XOXO,
Piper, Celti, Argie, Ivy

GETTING BIGGER THAN A BREAD PAN

You've probably noticed
that we put
the sweet buglets
in a bread pan
to weigh them.

We can't have
one of them
rolling off the scales.

Mom generally
starts them off
in a medium size pan.

But she's going to have
to change it up!!
 Look at Pearl.
Filling up that pan
and rising out of it!!

But Mom wakes
them up at the worst time -
right at nap time.

This afternoon
when she got them up
all they wanted to do
was snuggle up
and go back to sleep!!

By Monday,
we predict
that they will all
weigh over 2 pounds each!!

WHAT A DIFFERENCE TEN DAYS MAKES

Remember when Mom
put the sweet buglets
in her ole dirty shoe
and photographed them.

That was ten days ago.

She did it again today.

Look how much they've grown!!
and their eyes have opened!!

 Jazzi

 Rabbie
(mom had to wake him up)

 Winston

Pearl

We bet in ten more days
they won't even

fit in that ole shoe!!

XOXO
