TRUE COLORS THURSDAY -- Black & White

Good Morning,

It's True Colors Thursday - Today's colors are Black and White together. Mom tried to get Lilly to pose with her teeth bared but she had no luck. Lilly might show her teeth to Mom if she posts the picture again of Lilly in the little boy underwear - after all Lilly is black and the underwear is white. But you've already seen that bit of embarrassment. If you'd like to play, head over to Blue's blog and let her know and you're in! Next week the color is LIME - now that one will be hard!

Mom gave us a lot of help with this one -
she's listing a lot of her favorite things.
This first one is a poster she purchased in Paris -
it shows our cousin the Westie and
a Scottie getting ready for a trip -

who could resist that cute little Scottie stand?

Mom loves vintage Christmas cards and
felt so fortunate to find this one with
the Scotties decorating the Christmas Tree.
Even a little Scottie angel on the top
- WOW!! That's a stretch to the imagination.

Mom simply adores this purse and
has looked at it several time on Ebay,
but has never felt like she could justify purchasing it
- maybe one day we'll convince Dad
to get it for her for her birthday or something.
Mom took this picture of our cattle during a snowstorm.
Sometimes she puts up a picture of them in our entryway
when we are having guest that says
"Welcome to Rocky Creek Farm - we're so glad you're here".

This is a true picture of Moonshiners
that was made in our county
sometime in the early part of the 20th century.
It is in our local museum -
Lilly used to go there when she was a tiny puppy
because Mom was the director,
but our Pa got sick and Mom retired.
You know our big sister, Kat, the daredevil.
She volunteers to work on the historic tall ship
in Dana Point Harbor called "The Pilgrim".
Her job is to climb the mast to furl the sails
- sometimes they fly "The Jolly Roger".
It makes our knees shake to think about her climbing up there.

Our Mom is afraid of heights too,
but she was able to climb the Eiffel Tower
when Dad took her to Paris
for their 25th Wedding Anniversary.
It is her favorite structure in all the world -
We think they should move it to Scotland
so we could claim it as our own -
but we doubt that happening -
maybe Dad will take us to Paris one day
- well maybe Paris, Tennessee.

Silly Mom - where did she see those cauliflower sheep?
She didn't make them
- someone sent us an email about people playing with their food
- we'd like to toss a few sheep around -
before we eat them, that is!

We hope you have a grand day. Mitch and Sarah made it here safe and sound and we're enjoying playing with them.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java

We love your cows! Do you graze with them, or do you have to keep away? It looks like they are behind a fence? Yes? We'd be as in awe of them as we are of the elk!

And, turkeys? Cool! Mom used to see them in the MIssouri Ozarks. Now the closest we come to one is with one of our beat up toys!

Happy Thursday,
Jake and Fergi

Wonderful black & white day! I'm glad Lily didn't show her teeth. It would have scared Hootie. hahahahaha.

Very funny Baby. Lily wouldn't scare me. In fact, Scooby is still actively looking for a galpup for me. Maybe Lily likes younger men??
