MONDAY - WASH DAY

This morning,
we heard Mom tell Granny
that there were some stinky dogs
at our house.
We all looked around
to see if we had visitors
because we knew she couldn't mean us.

The next thing we knew,
The Sweet Babes
were in a wash tub
in our front yard.

The Sweet Babes
got washed, rinsed and dried
and before we knew it

they were back
in their clean bed.

Now we adults are hiding -
because you know who
she'll be after next!!

AT LAST!!

We've been lying around
waiting on Blogger to cooperate with us.
It hasn't let us post or comment
for about 24 hours.

Hope you have a great evening.

A NEW GAME

The Sweet Babes
are starting to play games now,
not only with each other,
but with us and our Peeps too.

One of their favorite games
is
"chase Auntie Lilly".

After a rousing game of
"chase Auntie Lilly"
then it's time
for a good nap.

and
The Sweet Babes

PS - Auntie Lilly took our Mom and Dad
on a rousing chase last night -
up the road,
through high grass,
down the creek
and
back to the house.
Mom and Dad were not impressed
with this game.

ISN'T IT AMAZING?

In six short weeks,
little pink baby noses

turn black

and look just like
Scottie noses.

Itty, bitty puppies
who can't hear, walk or see

turn into sweet little
Scottie puppies.
(with alligator mouths!)

Miracles,
right before our eyes.

A DAY OF FIRST AND SOMETHING NEW

Today,
The Sweet Babes
got their first baths.
Mom showed them the water running
and let them touch it and taste it
before she put them in it.

Overall, the didn't mind it too bad
and they smell like
baby shampoo now.

They loved cuddling up in the towel
after the bath.
After they were all bathed,
they ate,
got their bed changed
and
went to sleep!!

Lynzi
is the first
of
The Sweet Babes
to have a new name.
Her name is now
Stirling
because her new Mom
was visiting
Stirling Castle
in
Scotland
when she found out
that she was getting a puppy.
How cool is that!!

Most of you know that
Snazzi Jazzi
plowed over our mailbox
when she came to help
with the delivery of
Carrleigh's puppies.

She offered to replace it,
but Dad beat her to it.
What do you think?

A FERGUS FREE ZONE

In every litter of puppies,
there is at least one
"camera hound"
that seems to be in every picture
and is not only there,
but is in the cutest pose.

We know you've probably all noticed
that with this clan,
it is Fergus.

Today,
we declare this blog
to be
a Fergus Free Zone.

After all,
we have more babies
on Rocky Creek Farm.

Their mothers are just as proud and protective
of them as Carrleigh is of her babies.

Here are some of our other Rocky Creek Farm babies.
Sometimes when Black Angus babies come,

they are totally black
and other times,
they are brown and then turn black.
We can never predict
what color they will start life
until they are born,
but in the end they all are black
with a few scattered white markings.

This is the "papa" of those Black Angus Babies.
Mom says if she ever gets
a black male Scottie,
she will name it
"Black Angus"
in tribute to our
beautiful cattle.

So you get a bit of sweet puppy love today,
we leave you with this photo
of Mackie and Kilts.

THE PUPPIES GO FOR THEIR SECOND VET VISIT

Yesterday morning,
when the puppies were all sitting around
just "doing their thing",
Mom told them that they needed
to "kennel up".

That was a bit confusing
because she had never given then
a command before.

So they were all busy
trying to get into the cat crate
when we saw Mom
get out two of our crates.
She put 4 boys in one
and the 3 girls plus 1 boy
in the other.

And she took them for a little ride
to
Carroll Veterinary Clinic
to get their second check-up.

Dr. Jim,
our favorite Vet,
examined each and every one of
The Sweet Babes.
They all got an "A" on their report.
Before you ask which one of The Babes
is in this picture,
we need to tell you that Mom forgot her camera
and this sweet pup is
Miss Becky Bluebonnet.

As soon as they got home,
it was time to settle down for a nap.

THE NEW COMES IN AS THE OLD GOES OUT

This is one of the last times
that the little sharp toothed puppies
will be able to nurse from Carrleigh.
By the end of the week,
they should be totally weaned.

They start to explore
their "new" surroundings.
While they are still in the same puppy box,
a crate has been added
so that they can get used to it
and they have been moved from our bedroom
into our living-room.

WE KNOW YOU'RE HERE TO SEE THE SWEET BABES

They have secrets to share
and comfort to give each other.
This is Lynzi giving Kilts a kiss.

Or one of the sweet babes
with a full tummy and a clean bed,
ready for an afternoon nap.

But we just had to share this picture.
This is Lilly and Piper's son, Obie
(in the front)
taking a bubble bath with this galpal, Ebony.
They wanted to be sparkling clean
for their human pup's first birthday party!!

Happy Birthday Baby T!
