WHEN IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, SOMETIMES MOMS HAVE TO GET CREATIVE

When your birthday comes
2 days after Christmas
and your Mom doesn't prepare
for your birthday,
and you're snowed in,
she has to get a bit creative.

And you get to pose with
a Santa hat
stuffed with paper.

Carrleigh was too busy to celebrate.
All she wanted to do
was chase the camera's flash.

Ruairi joined her in chasing around.

But Lilly got in to the spirit of the day.

And was happy to pose
with the birthday boy.

Happy Birthday to
Rocky Creek's Bag Piper -
and many, many more.

LET IT SNOW! LET IT SNOW!! LET IT SNOW!!!

We knew something was up this morning
when Mom only walked us
two at a time -
and we had to get our coats on
before we went out.

As we headed up our road,
we could see the cows
gathered around a roll of hay.

And little piles of snow
on the fencepost.

But when we got back to the house,
Mom surprised us
but unleashing us.

And we got to run in the snow
she took a couple of photographs-
and then the battery died on her camera.

Pictures or none,
we had a blast.

HAS IT REALLY BEEN A WEEK?

When we checked our blog this morning,
we realized that it
had been a week
since we've posted.

We think of you daily
and have been reading your blogs,
but sometimes we don't always comment -
we have been having a bit
of a problem with Blogger
when it comes to leaving comments.

This week leading up to Christmas,
we have been trying to help
Mom and Dad
as much as we can.

We've tested boxes
for size and function.

We've volunteered
to try out any new recipes
that Mom is making.

We've played together a lot
and tried to stay out from underfoot.

We've sat quietly
in advisory positions.

But most of all,
we've been helping them get ready

Christmas Eve's Eve
which is known
as
Chili Day
at our house.
On this day,
our Dad makes
his famous chili.
All of our family and neighbors
come over for a bowl full
of the steamy goodness.

We can hardly wait -
maybe a bit will spill
and they will need a clean-up crew.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR MOM

Every year,
our Mom tells Lilly
that she wants puppies
for her birthday.

This is the best she's getting -
an enhanced picture
of
Becky and Ruairi.

Aren't they cutie-patooties?

Happy Birthday Mom

well since it's in the title,
you don't have to.

CELEBRATE DWB NATIONAL TACO DAY WITH JAZZI AND EDGAR

We were so excited
when we found out that
Snazzi Jazzi
and
Edgar
had declared today,
December 4, 2010
as
DWB National Taco Day.

From the time
that Mom started browning
delicious Rocky Creek Farm beef
in a skillet on the stove,
we started getting excited.
We knew something good was
going to happen.

There was a lot of
lip-licking
going on at our house.

Then she started
chopping up the yummy veggies
that go with tacos -
and our favorite - the shredded cheddar cheese.
The onions are for our peeps -
we know that onions can be toxic to dogs
so we don't have them on our tacos.

We waited patiently
as she fixed our plates.

1-2-3-4
Four plates with a taco each
and four of us -
works out perfectly!

Mom tried to feed us separately
and get pictures of each of us,
but there was too much excitement -
and we all converged on the
plate of the slowest eater
to help him get all of the mess cleaned up.

YUM!
YUM!
YUM!

Thank you Snazzi and Edgar
for coming up with this wonderful idea -
we are already looking forward
to celebrating it next year.

LET'S ALL PAWTY WITH JAZZI AND EDGAR

Most of you know
our little Scottie furiend, Snazzi Jazzi
and how she got caught,
not one, but two times
stealing tacos.

And then she
influenced Edgar
into talking his Mom
into making tacos for him!

So together they are sponsoring
a DWB National Taco Day
on
Saturday, December 4th.

Everyone,
alert your peeps,
so they can either make
or buy you some tacos.
See their blogs for the rules.

It's a shame we can't get a picture
of our nephew, Odie,
eating a taco -
he might land a job.

XOXO
