This morning our Mom got up at 4:30 am so she could take our Dad out to the church to help cook breakfast. It is an Easter tradition that the men all gather out there to cook breakfast for everyone. Before she took Dad out there, she made a cake and now it is running over in our oven. Our eyes are burning and she won't take it out. She hopes that what's left in the pan will be good, but we have our doubts. We'll see - hopefully she can cover it up with enough icing to make it presentable. She makes great bread, but she says she's a 'dessert eater', not a 'dessert maker'.
On Saturday, she always makes pancakes for us.
We all love them and so does Dad.
Yesterday's pancakes were pecan and
we had real maple syrup, Irish butter and strawberries on them.
Yum!! Yum!!

Oh, and Hootie is thinking he'd like to date a few different pups before he settles down for good, so which one of you lovely ladies was interested in him? Scooby is working on a match for him too, but I think he will play the field for a while. Kind of a male Lacie if you would!
