OUR THOUGHTS THIS MORNING...

This morning our thoughts
are with our friends and furiends
who live in the path of
Hurricane Irene.
Please take the precautions
that the local authorities
advise.

We know
Becky and Gussie
have had to evacuate their home
and our thoughts and prayers
are with them.

If your peeps have any questions
regarding helping your pet
through a storm,
the ASPCA
offers some guidelines.

Please stay safe and use good judgement.

YOU ASK, WE DELIVER ..... ALMOST.....

Mom is so proud of "her"
Morning Glories.
They greet her every morning
with new blooms -
but if the truth were told,
without Dad's conscientious watering,
there would be no
vines or flowers.

Some of you wanted to see an updated
picture of
Miss Ivy.
It' s almost impossible to catch her
being still -
here she is in her energetic glory -
all 35 pounds!!

YES, VIRGINIA, THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE

Many of you have asked us
if we felt the earth shake
beneath our paws yesterday.

Virginia had a 5.9 earthquake
in Giles county.
If you look at the pink circle on the map
you will see our county, Carroll,
is at the bottom
of the circle.

We did feel a bit of shaking,
but Mom,
having lived in
the Philippine Islands,
Japan
and
Southern California,
just said,
"we're having an earthquake"
and went on about her business.

We were just as snug as puppies
in a box.

Ivy went to the Vet for her checkup.
She is still growing like a bad weed -
and weighs 35 pounds now!!

PUPDATE ON BAILEY

If you've been following us for a couple of years,
you might remember Bailey
from Carrleigh's litter of nine puppies.

He went to Eastern Virginia
to live with his big brother, Mackie.
We got a much coveted pupdate
from Bailey Sweet this weekend!!

See what handsome lads they are!!

We know they must
"rule the roost".
They even sleep with their peeps.

But Bailey doesn't like to ride
in the car so he sits facing backward
until they get to their destination.
That's much better than getting carsick,
don't you think?

We have been alerted by our local humane society
that there is counterfeit Frontline
being sold in some places.
Please have your peeps read the article
and be careful what they purchase for you.

IT'S OUR TURN NOW....

You know how we are always
begging you to vote for our
furiends who have entered contest

*

w-e-l-l

our Mom entered us in one now.
If you're on Facebook,
would you please go
to our Vet
and like our photo.
You might have to like
Foothills and Carroll Vets first
before you can like us,
but that's all it takes.

The photo with the most "likes" wins
a 6 months supply of parasite control -
and you know how much that could
help out with a pack as large as ours.

THANKS EVER SO MUCH!!

GROWING LIKE A BAD WEED!!

When you first saw our little Iverness,
she was about 5 weeks old.
Now she is almost 4 months old
and is growing like a bad weed -
we call her
"Poison Ivy".

The little smirker weighed 26 pounds
at her last Vet visit
and is faster
than a speeding Scottie.

She's got a lot to learn,
but we're trying to teach her.

YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT MIGHT SHOW UP HERE

We're back!!

Saturday,
our Peeps got up early,
had breakfast,
walked us
and were out the door.

They went to a dog show -
without us,
can you believe that?

But,
our boy,
Rocky Creek Bag Piper's Arlo
was participating
in his first puppy show -
doesn't he look like a cutie
lined up with all the other terriers?

He even let the judge
check out his little teeth!!

And got his first puppy ribbon -
this is a new class to introduce
4 - 6 month old puppies
to the world of dog shows.
Arlo got a ribbon for
Best of Breed.

Along the way,
he made a new furiend.
For all of you folks that think
Westies and Wheaten Scotties
look alike,
here you can easily see the difference.

Our Mom got to meet a blogging buddy too -
the Tennessee Bull Terrors,
Mom, Angie,
came up and asked
Mom if she was our Mom.
She loves meeting other bloggers!!

Good looks seems to run in Arlo's family.

This is his 18 month old brother -
Murphy Rushlow.

And his 3 year old 1/2 brother, Obie Trevino.

And to top things off,
our Sissy has been visiting
with us.
She was only able to spend a week
before going back.
We miss her.

XOXO,
The Rocky Creek Scotties and Ivy

YOU KNOW HOW WE LOVE...

...to see one of our furiends
win a contest.

We just had to sneak back in
from our vacation
to let you know that
Miss Maggie
is in a contest.
If you click on her picture,
it will take you there.
Once you register,
be patient,
it might take an hour or so
before you can vote
and then you can vote daily.

We don't know what she might win,
but she looks great winning it!!
