It's Good Friday - Potato Planting Day

Good Morning All,

Good Friday is "Potato Planting Day" here on Rocky Creek Farm. According to the old superstitions it is best to plant your potatoes on Good Friday and even better if you can plant them by the light of the moon. Even though we have a beautiful full moon this week, we doubt that Mom and Dad will wait until it comes up to plant their potatoes. We wish they would let us help, but they know how we like to dig. As soon as they covered them, we'd be digging them up again.

Footheel Sock Knitter awarded us with the prestigious "Kreativ Blogger Award" earlier this week. We want to pass it back to her because Tammy is one of the most creative knitters we know - check out her blog for some to see her beautiful projects - our Mom drools when she looks at them. We would like to pass the Kreativ Blogger Award to:

You'll just have to go over and visit them all. Becky at Sweet Cottage Dreams has some of the "dreamiest" cottage projects but we like to see the adventures of her Scottish Terriers - Duhgall and Fiona. Duhgall is very regal, but Fiona is just a sweet little baby. Duhgall is teaching her all of the things that Scotties need to know.

You all know Mason Dixie - one of the friendliest bloggers in blog world. That dog really gets around and takes pictures to prove it!!

Jake and Fergi at Two Special Wires are so lucky to have their wonderful Mom and home. They were rescued and have told their story on their blog. We've always lived with either our breeder or our Mom and Dad so it is hard for us to imagine the life of a puppymill dog. They also get to see Elks in their yard - how cool is that!!

As you can see, our Mom just loves to embarass us. Java has that "far away" look in his eyes and we don't think he was contemplating finding Easter eggs.

Have a Fantastic Friday,

XOXO

Wow! We are honored and flattered! Thank you for the Kreativ Blogger Award, we hope to represent it well! What a nice way to start Easter weekend. This'll be Fergi's first... we're hoping the Easter bunny comes!

Mom may be a little distracted.... she saw lots of blogs she wants to visit after perusing yours more closely! We hope she doesn't forget Easter dinner!

Congrats to the worthy blogs who received this award! I love your easter picture - maybe by next year, my mom can make something like that! I wish I could be there to help you plant potatoes, but not only would I dig up those 'taters, I'd eat them all, so.....
Happy Easter - hope the bunbun brings you tons of goodies doggies!

What a bummer that you guys couldn't help plant the potatoes! That would have been so much fun! Java looks pretty cute in his bunny ears and much happier than Mitch looks in his!
