WE PAUSE ON WHEELIE WEDNESDAY TO SALUTE OUR VETERANS

We'd like to take a break today
from our usual light-hearted banter
to salute the brave men and women
who have put their lives on the line
to preserve the freedom that
we all take for granted.

Not only do we want to thank them,
we also want to thank the
spouses, children, parents and grandparents,
aunts, uncles and cousins
who have supported these
valiant men and women
with their thoughts and prayers
as they served our country.

On this float the first row is
our Granny, our friend Richard and our Grandpa,
standing is our friend Preston.
Grandpa, Richard and Preston
are all WWII Veterans.
Our Dad is a Vietnam
and Dessert Storm Era Veteran.
Our Great Grandfathers
were WWI Veterans,
and our Great-Greats were
Civil War Veterans
and our
Great (6) was a
Revolutionary War Veteran.

Long may she wave,
XOXO

What a lovely post. We feel proud to be a part of our family, our community, our nation, our world. Today we'll raise our flag outside and wear our most patriotic bandanas. Thanks for helping to make Veterans' Day even more special.

Lynn, Scotties and Java,
I pray for our Men and Women overseas everyday, and their families. Everyday!!! We all should!1
I really don't live in the past. It has been the animals that have taught me who to love!! If you are good to me you have my unconditional love forever!!
I forgave my Mother because I knew she was sick. I will not forget but I did forgive.
Have a good day all, Fern

What a great post! We salute all our veterans - those who served (and serve) abroad, at home, and the civilians who supported them in every way!

That picture of the scotties in front of a flag/star is great!! Thanks to your Grandpa & all the others who have put their country above all else! It wouldn't be the same without the sacrifices of all those veterans!

When Mom did her genealogy work a couple years ago, she found that her ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, too. It made her very happy.
