PRESSIES FROM ACROSS THE ATLANTIC and TRUE COLOUR THURSDAY

Good Morning All,

Mom went to the mail box on Tuesday and when she opened it, she found a package in there. She started racking her brain for what she might have ordered from Ebay or a mail order company and could come up with nothing.

She then saw a Royal Mail postage mark and a customs sticker on the package. This really got her intrigued - and the package was sent to Rocky Creek Scotties. That's us!! We got mail!
When Mom came in she put the package down in the floor for us to sniff. Due to our wonderful olfactory sense, we could smell Sally and Paddy. Had they come across the ocean to visit us?? And how did they get so flat?Mom helped us with the tape - the beautiful tape with aquatic life on it. And then we got the package open. The cardboard around it had "DUCKHAMS" written on it. It this some new strange treat we've never had - how big can a duck ham be when you compare it to one that comes off of a pig? We didn't even know that ducks had hams.
AHH! More of that beautiful tape and some bubble wrap needed to be removed and then we saw this fantastic game.
Mom helped us take the lid off and we saw the game pieces - how precious - 4 little Scotties, just like us. Can you see they are anxious to get out and play? All but one is starting to do a "Scottie Stand".
And then we saw this beautiful card - check out the glasses. It said:
Dear Rocky Creek Scotties and humans,

Well, we thought you might like this game too!! Plus there are 4 of you and only 2 of us.
We love your blog and are trying to have photos taken of our tongues, but we are proving too fast for the camera.
Take care and lots of licks,
Sally & Paddy and Diana

Our Mom was moved to tears but the sweetness of our online bloggy buddies. Please take a minute and go by and visit them.

And on to True Colours Thursday. The color for today is NAVY but we might have slipped in a little cobalt. If you'd like to play along, please go over to Blue's blog and let her know and then you're in. It's that easy.

Our Mom always looks for different purposes
for items than what they are intended to be.
She keeps toothpicks in this little Vick's jar.

She rarely uses these
blue and white dishes
that are high on a shelf
in our kitchen.
We never get to eat from them.
Yesterday, Mom and Dad
went shopping.
Dad surprised us with this pool.
It has navy boats printed on it.
We will try it out this afternoon
when it warms up.
Mom says she has solar lights
to keep people from running into the granary.
But we know, she just enjoys
their sparkle after dark
because they constantly
change colors.
Have a terrific True Colours Thursday and don't forget to notice all of the colours in our beautiful world.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java

We think that piddling pool is just like ours! We found ours in somebody's trash pile and we nabbed it! Heeeheeeeheee! We've had so much fun and we hope you do, too!

Wow! It must be fun to receive an unexpected gift in the mail. That looks like a fun game. I loved your previous post with the flashback. It is neat to see things from the past. It is too hard and time consuming to read alllll the previous posts from all my friends.
Love and hugs,

What a wonderful little game! I've never seen one like it.

You will enjoy your wading pool. Oliver and Baggins usually have one and they give them 4 paws up!
