Good Morning and welcome to True Colours Thursday. The colour for today is EMERALD. If you'd like to play along, go over to Blue's blog and let her know you are in - it's that easy!
Of course, one of Mom's favorite EMERALD items
would be in the form of this small
Scottie Dog salt cellar.

We have often watched the movie,
the Wizard of Oz
and rooted for Dorothy and Toto

It is rumored that L. Frank Baum
gave his wife
an EMERALD ring
after completion of his OZ books
because she was the one person
who never lost faith in him.
We are pleased to announce that the 70th Anniversary of the making of the movie, The Wizard of Oz, will be commemorated this year with a special DVD set which will include The Dreamer of Oz, the story of the life of L. Frank Baum, starring John Ritter. Yes, Mom, we know it's on your list.gave his wife

Have a Terrific Thursday,

Neat post! We love that movie and it's cool you guys are like Toto! Mom likes all the political symbolism from that movie and what things are supposed to represent regarding the 1896 Election and the gold standard. (More info here- http://www.turnmeondeadman.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=51&Itemid=63 it's pretty cool!) Mom likes conspiracy theories.
Thanks for posting!
That sure is a nifty salt cellar! It's really hard to find Frenchie stuff like that. Well, gotta go - we're off to see the wizard...

Our Rama loves emerald because it's her birthstone...
Did you know John Ritter was the voice for Clifford the Big Red Dog?
When Rama taught first grade, her classroom was full of Clifford stuff!
