We woke up to a wonderful surprise this past Saturday morning. During our morning session of blog-reading, we found out that we had the honor of winning a prize in Maggie and Mitch's 600th post contest. Way to go!! What a wonderful milestone - we hope to reach it ourselves someday.
It wasn't long before we heard the mailman at our door. When we looked outside we saw a big box on our freezer. And the return address said it was from Maggie and Mitch in Connecticut. Since Mitch choose our number, he got to pick our prizes. And we got one of his signature blue pigs, his favorite apple treats and a fabulous tug of war toy. (We were still asleep this morning when Mom took the pictures of our pressies. )
On the same day, our "stick out your tongue" contest ended
with Duhgall being the first prize winner.

Our Mom is slow
(but she is older than dirt too)
in getting out their packages.
They will go in today's mail.

And on the home front.
Our nearest neighbor,
who lives a mile away,
took this picture
at the end of our drive-way.
They put out their game cam.
The first night they baited with table scraps,
and got raccoons.
The second night they baited with bread and syrup
and got raccoons.
The third night they baited with pizza
and got a bear!!
We are afraid Mom and Dad
might cut off our pizza rations
because they want to see a bear too!!
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java
PS - note from Mom: I thought I should clarify things a bit. We don't really want a bear to live on our property but I just would love to see one in the wild one time. It seems as if we are the only ones in our community that haven't seen a bear.

thank you for visiting! looks like you have quite a crew yourself! hehehehe!!!
Congrats on all your winning goodies!!! And you better eat up ALL the leftover pizza so you don't get any more large friends like that BoL!!!
Oh do not give that bear your pizza. Pizza is for doggies. Sometimes momma puts pizza leftovers out for "her" crows and that makes me mad.
Good job on the awards and nice pressies.
Slobbers,
Mango
Maybe you could suggest that they go to the zoo if they want to see a bear... and no fair cutting off any pizza. You're entitled!
what great pressies -
but heres a city folk question - why do you want to attract the bears - actually owning hunting property myself maybe i dont want to know tht answer - so i retract that question

Congrads on your awards.
We might give up pizza too if bears like it.. Oh we have no bears in Texas so i think we are safe..

Congrats on winning that lovely box of pressies from Maggie and Mitch!!! We had fun participating in your contest.
As for bears, we think we will let them stay where you are, we have our hands full with skunks and coyotes here:)
Woos, the OP Pack
Congrats on the bloggie prize! Our mommy has been a real slug lately and we are missing out on a lot of stuff going on. That pic with the hairless cat was really funny. We are with you---bears are cool, but we don't want to have them at our door!
Smooches, BabyRD & Hootie
Bailey is very excited to get her package... I've told my dad to take pictures when she gets it!
The bear looks so neat! We watched a show on Russia last night on Animal Planet and they had these bears that would hang out in a natural hot spring, it was so cool!
xo sugar & martine
Have you heard the piggie grunt yet?
No way would we want a bear in our area! It would whig mom out on our walkies! We think you guys deserve ALL the pizza!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Wow! Look at all those neat gifts. Bears scare me too!
That;s a wonderful prize package. Lots of goodies.
We don't want a bear around here. We have raccoons and coyotes and a huge owl that scares us when he hoots.
Oh my is khorrekht!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Nice prizes!!
We're worried about all the hungry bears...we have 2 roaming our property too!
You guys be careful,
Zack, Sassy and Buddy
I would like to know why your neighbor is filming at the end of your driveway? What is wrong with his? Bears like hand outs and coons like hand outs. We have had a bear but all the goodies were gone and he got barked at. Haven't
seen him since. That was a long time ago. It has built up a lot since than. Love Bambi & Fern
You probably don't have a bear cuz they are afraid of fierce warrior Scotties!
Bonnie - Fierce Warrior Princess
Hi,
I'm so pleased that a Scottie won the tongue contest! Well done that Duhgall.
And congrats on your awards too.
Cheers, H.
I don't think I want to ever meet a bear or want him eating my pizza. They are pretty big. Congratulations on the pressies. I love the piggy, it is funny.
licks and sniffs, Sasha
We have a game cam too. We have never seen a bear. We have seen coons, foxes, squirrels and birdies though.
No more pizza traps....Don't want to keep the bears around.

Dang! I skip a couple days of reading your blog and I miss all the fun! I would never get in a pool of water. How cool to have a new calf. Do you guys chase the cows? A bear! Cool...what would you do if he came in your yard? I know I would be barkin! What a great box full of goodies too.
Love and hugs,
