FLASHBACK FRIDAY ON A TUESDAY - A CHALLENGE FROM THE RELENTLESSLY HUGE

We were challenged by the Mango Man to do a Flashback Friday, but Blogger is giving us fits about loading pictures today. Here are the rules:
Flashback Friday
The rules are;
1) Post a link to your blog entry from one year ago.
2) Tell us what was happening then.
3) Post photos of significant events between th en and now.
4) Pass this contest along to three other doggie s (an old friend, a new friend, and one other pal).

Please do this if you would like. It is great fun to go down memory lane.

Since we weren't blogging a year ago, we ca
n't link back to our blog entries, but we do have photos to show you what we were doing.

We didn't know Carrleigh a year ago.
She was still living in Kentucky with Carolyn,
but Carolyn got sick and Carrleigh came
to live with us.
When Carrleigh lived in Kentucky,
in July 2008,
she had puppies.
Our big sister, Kat,
came on her annual summer trip
in August 2008.

In September 2008,
Carrleigh came to live with us.
Lilly and Piper had a little trouble
letting her integrate into the pack.
But now she's one of us.

In October of 2008,
Mom went on a mission trip to Haiti.
It saddened her to see the deplorable
conditions of the people there.
But it really saddened her to see the dogs.
She came back wanting to organize
a veterinarian mission to Haiti.
She says if she goes again,
she will take soft treats for the dogs.

In October, Lilly and Piper
decided it was time to make some puppies.
Here is Lilly's belly
in November.
In December 2008, Lilly had 3 babies
- a wheaten male, a wheaten female and a black brindle male.
Piper was the father.

The puppies grew like little weeds - here they are in January.

February came too soon, and they were ready
to go to their forever, loving homes.
Mom made a baby book for each one of them.
Spring came,
and we did our first blog,
with no pictures in March.

In April,
we did our first Wheely Wednesday.

In May, Piper Via,
went into hiding to escape the dreaded cycle of Carrleigh.

In June, we challenged everyone
to 'stick ou
t their tongue'.
And we will be posting the pictures
and winner
in 4 more post.
We have met so many new friends
by
doing this.
It has been so much fun!!
If you haven't submitted
your picture, please do so.
Just post it on your site
and link b
ack to us,
then let us know in the comments
that you have done it.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java

We love your flashback! It was fun to read! We didn't know you just started blogging in March. That wasn't long before us! You made us feel so welcome!

Probably our favorite month was the one when your mommy went to Haiti. It made us feel sad for the poor dogs there, but happy that your mommy has plans for them if and when she returns someday. All dogs deserve love in their lives. It doesn't surprise us that your mommy is someone who wants to make sure that happens for some of these fellas.

We love you and your blog,
Jake and Miss Fergi

What a great little trip down memory lane! Thanks for sharing!
Because of your blog, I discovered that Scotties can come in colors other than black.
Looking forward to seeing everyone else's tongue pics!

That was so cool. The pictures are so great. My Mom loves the one of the 3 baby puppies, she is leaking a little in her eyes. I wasn't going to take Mangos wonderful challenge because we weren't blogging a year ago but you have showed me that I can. Thank you and thank the big guy Mango for the challenge.

Hello from us - we hope you like your game - we just couldn't help it - we knew you would like it. We were very sneaky - but surprises are always a treat. We refuse to reveal our sources!

Love the photos - we are desperately trying to get a photo of tongue action - but no such luck!

Lots of hidden licks

What a great set of photos. You scottie dogs look kind of funny when you are little babies. Your furs aren't right.

What fun to see the puppy pictures. When our pups went to their new homes I made baby books, too. I put in pictures of them from the time they were born till they left so the new families could experience their puppyhood.

Oh how I wish I could have nuzzled every one of those sweet, sweet Scotty pups!!!

Luv your blog of the scotties and their adventures. I have been researching today, info. on West Highland White Terrier, ( Westie).
They sound like sturdy little dogs, do you know anyone who raises them? Just wondering....
