WE'RE BACK!!

Mom and Lilly are back from their visit to the Chesapeake Bay so now we are trying to get caught up on our emails and visiting our favorite blogs.

Mom and Lilly left early Tuesday morning. They picked up our cousin Sandra who lives near by and then they drove to our cousin, Carolyn's house. We're turning everything over to Lilly so she can tell you all about the trip.

I had to ride in the back seat in my special seat belt the whole way. Once we picked up Carolyn she adjusted the leash to my seat belt so that I could sit in her lap. That was much more comfy for me than lying/sitting on my sherpa pad in the back seat.

Every morning before Mom even got out of bed, my cousin, Sandra would grab my leash and we would be off for a walk on the beach. Every time I went, I tasted the salt water - it never did get good enough to drink!!

And then we would come back to the beach cabin. Before we would get there, I could smell my cousin, Addie, frying bacon and making coffee. Mom loved the coffee and I loved the bacon - everyone kept sneaking pieces of bacon to me.
There were a lot of squirrels and birds at the beach. I didn't bark at them, but I had to watch every thing they did. My cousin, Addie fixed a box so I could stand up and look out the window. See the blue harness I'm wearing - it fits in to my special seat belt so that I don't jump around when we are in the truck - I get really excited when I see Mom get it out because I love to travel.
This is mine and Piper's first born child. Mom and I were staying about an hour away from where she lives so we went to visit her. She is a Wheaten Scottie and her name is Maddie. When she lived with us, Mom would say, "Where's my Maddie Moo" and she would always come for Mom to pick her up. She just had her first grooming and her groomer had a lot of spectacular things to say about her conformation. She was so excited to see us that it made her a little hard to photograph. We loved visiting with her and her loving family.
Here I am in the Chesapeake Bay. I try to hide from Mom every time I think she is going to bathe me, but I wanted to go out in the water as far as Mom would let me go. Mom didn't take a swimsuit so I had to be content with just walking in the surf. A couple of times when I was beach combing, I got yucky burrs stuck in my fur and Mom had to cut them out with my cousin Michael's fishing scissors!!

Have a Superior Sunday. We are glad to be back home and plan on resting up today. One of Mom's busiest weeks of the year is Memorial Day week. We'll be helping the Ruritans get ready for their Memorial Day Flea Market. One of us always goes down to guard Mom while she's working down there.

XOXO

Quite an adventure. So you don't like a bath, but you like bathing? Funny little chap, aren't you?

That harness in the car is a good idea to keep you safe. I wish I had one, but momma says she can't get one big enough. Sheesh.

Did you have bacon every day? WOW!

Mango

Wooo! The beach. I too love to swim, but hate baths. And if you are not careful that icky water will make you sick. I kept drinking it once, trying to make it taste good, it didn't.

Wow!! You look so pretty in your pictures Mommy!! I can't wait till we leave for our trip to Texas next week, too. We will be going to the beach down there one of those days. Mom and Dad want to know when and where the Memorial Day Flea Market will be? They mentioned that maybe we can take off early Sunday morning so we can take a little detour down in your direction to pay a visit. Hope to hear from you soon.
