PRESSIES AND A NEW HAIR CUT

Some of our best friends
are antique dealers.
Mom, Dad, Lilly and Java
entertained them on our porch
on Frid
ay night.
They brought this wonderful
vintage cookie cutter
and candy jar to our huMom.

We want to know when she's baking cookies????

Lilly and Mom
are going to the beach,
so Lilly had to get
spruced up
a little bit
with a new hair cut
and a bath.
This is Lilly after the bath but
before the haircut.

And here she is
resting in her favorite spot
after the hair cut.
Even though Mom couldn't get
a good pictur
e of her,
Lilly looks like a different dog now.
She's a Scottie again!!!

Lilly and Mom (our secretary) will be gone for a few days, so it is doubtful if we get to come on and visit with you whilst they are away. Dad might surprise us and help us, but if he doesn't, we'll see you when they return. While they are gone, they hope to visit with Lilly and Piper's daughter, Maddie.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java

PS - we just got back from our morning walkie. Mom took this picture of Lilly so you could see her pleasing Scottie profile - some of her skirt is trimmed off for her beach trip - Mom hates digging sand and dirt out of our coats.

Check out the wonderful rain we've been having. We almost have a creek running down our road - and our hay field is almost up to the top of Java's back.

Awwww. Now we're smiling for even MORE reasons! Lily is so beach-ready - how much fun that sand will be! We'll be heading to the beach in about a month. Mom would like to do some antique shop scouring on the way ... she loves wirey old stuff, and looking for it. (We're not talking about buried bones or humine socks buried beneath the covers.)

Also, we want you to know, we just updated our last blog with some good news!!

Waggin our tails,
Happy Jake and Fergi

Have fun!

Love the vintage Scotty stuff!!! I've been perusing the auctions and estate sales for one of those cookie cutters for some time now. One day I will find one... and it will be mine... but isn't the thrill of the hunt part of it too?

Ciao RCS and Java!

La mia ragazza has a whole box full of Scottie treasures in the upstairs closet. (She had to put them away when I arrived last fall because -- heeee! -- I get into things!) I am pretty sure there's a cookie cutter like yours and a candy dish like yours that her mama gave to her, but it's pink instead of clear. There are also cross-stitchied pictures and pillows and stuffed toys and Christmas ornaments and even Jinksy's (plllbbbb!) old collars (she actually made me wear Jinks' puppy collar when I was a little pup -- booooooo!) But that isn't the worst of it! There is a cast-iron Scottie door stop in the guest bedroom and TWO Scottie cutting boards in the kitchen!! Here's what I want to know: WHERE'S ALL THE AIREDALE STUFF!?!?!

But ok, all that said, Lilly DOES look very sweet with her new hairdo! I hope you all have a meraviglioso time at the beach!

Tanti baci!
Lucia

PeeEss: Thank you so much for all of the crossed paws and prayers on behalf of my grandpa. You are such wonderful bloggie pals.

AAARRROOOOOO is right! You couldn't have said it better!

Thanks for the cheering section you very cute Scotties. We are all so appreciative of our friends.

Things are promising to get back to "normal" soon. And one of the first local adventures for the humines (we won't be able to go) is to go to the big "antique mall" and look for more wirey and terrier treasures. Mom hasn't been able to get it out of her mind since she last saw this most recent post of yours!

Hope you're well!
Your waggin friends,
Jake and MISS FERGI - Supergirl!
