We are three gorgeous (and loved) Scottish Terriers who share our lives with our people and our "Heinz 57" on a farm in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Please join us in our day to day experiences.
Our Mom says "Life is so much merrier with a Scottish Terrier".
When Piper was a young pup, he loved to carry around a rope toy. Truthfully, it is still his favorite and if he gets aggravated about something, he will grab up his rope and give it a good shake.
Ruairi loves balls. He really liked the red one in the foreground until he tried to catch it one day and his tooth slipped right in it - now it wobbles as it rolls.
But Mom found wiffle style balls with holes in them at the Dollar Tree (4 for $1.00) and Ruairi loves them.
He can play hockey with himself all day long - that is until his ball rolls under either Mom or Dad's chair - and then we hear a "crunch". OOPS!! We hope she can purchase them by the case.
Our late boy Otis was given a nylon ball, that came apart for a battery insertion, then when it was dropped, it made a loud WAAAAH noise. He loved it more than anything and had it for years!
Bambi is like Kira. She spends a little time un-stuffing them, then she is not interested any more!!! I have even tried making them for her and it just took her a little longer to un-stuffing them!!! Oh well.... Happy day!!! XXOO, Fern
I can just imagine the games being played by Ruairi who is totally oblivious to the ball being wobbly--They don't let a "broken ball" stop them from having fun do they!!
Nice toys! My humans found a WHOLE box of tennis balls for $2 at a garage sale last year. The learned to hide the box so I don't keep stealing them. Toys are fun, aren't they?
Hey! Ruiari and I must be made of some of the same stuff. I love balls, too, and can play solitaire ball for hours. And I'm here to say I could do this long before the World Cup started. I've been practicing for two years now (ever since I discovered balls). All the football on the telly is just encouraging me even more.
Ciara and TD love all kinds of balls too. The ones here with the holes in them belong to the grandkidlets so they don't touch them. But that is quite a bargain you found. Ciara's favorite toys are the ripped and shredded old, very old destuffed stuffies that Mom keeps wanting to throw away.
So cute!! Ruairi is getting big! Fiona loves her ball and insists on dropping it at my feet every morning as soon as we get up. Doogie loves soccer balls. I believe he would do well on the soccer field!!

Scots swimming in the snow
Check us out!! We had a foot of snow the 1st of March. We liked it and did Piper ever get covered with little snowballs. His skirt is the longest!! Imagine that. I don't know why we girls couldn't have longer furnishings.

Kendra loves balls, I'll play tug-o-war if there's a game going, but I don't play with toys by myself. Bella just destroys anything she can find!

I've carried around and chewed up many of those ropes too! Your balls look fun. Does your mum ever put dried food pieces inside for you to rattle out?

It's fun when they choose a favorite toy. Each of mine has a favorite and always knows where it is.
Each of you have your own favorite toys, no need to fight for toys, isn't it nice?
Crunch! Ouch, poor balls!
Cheers!
We love balls too. I went bonkers at the park yesterday with a tennis ball we found on the way.
