WE'RE BACK!!

We are so glad to let you know that we are back home again. We have been kicking back at the local "spa", but from the looks of things, we probably didn't get a lot of rest while we were there.

Last Tuesday, Dad came home with these beautiful roses for Mom. She didn't want to leave them at home to wilt while they were on their trip so she just took them with her - and enjoyed them more than she probably would have if she had them at home. Being in the car, she was able to look at them a lot.

The first stop of the day
was at Tamarack in Beckley, WV for lunch.
Their food court is catered
by the famous Greenbrier Restaurant.
And they sell a lot of beautiful items
handmade by local artisans.
The next stop was at New River Gorge,
and it was foggier than this picture
Mom snagged from their website.
While there Mom purchased a book,
"The Coffin Quilt"
about the Hatfields and McCoys,
which she read to Dad as they traveled.

The next day,
they visited (and shopped)
at Cabelas in Wheeling, WV.

And Dad took Mom
to a place she had been wanting to visit
for many years,
The Homer Laughlin Factory,
where Fiestaware is produced.

And here is the river they crossed
to get to their main destination.
