A BIT OF SPRING TRAINING

Today, we got to play ball.
Mom doesn't have the nerve to take us
all out at once and let us off leash -
she's afraid we might come visit you
or otherwise go to parts unknown.

Piper and Lilly
are probably the best ball players we have
in our clan -
Carrleigh has no interest in the ball
and Ruairi is more interested in
the treats Mom might have
in her pocket -
in other words,
he's a "suck-up".
So he's always too close to Mom
to get a real good photo.

Don't you just love seeing
a black dog against the green grass -
Lilly was more that happy to play ball
with Mom.

This is how Mom
always thought of Scotties
when she was a little girl -
chasing a ball and being able
to see the "white" of their eye.

Pretty soon Lilly let Mom know
that she'd had enough fun
and that it's time to go in the house
where it is cool.

And time to take care of

OUR SWEET BABES - FIVE WEEK PHOTOS

We don't know what kind of gremlin
attacked Blogger, but like some of you,
we have lost some post -
who knows maybe they will come back
but our videos from yesterday are gone
and so is our post scheduled
for this morning.

A NEW DAY - A NEW TRICK

The first thing every morning,
we put the puppies in their basket
in the middle of the bed.

This morning they were more active than usual
so we really kept a close eye on them.

Dad had been telling us
that we needed to take the pillow
out of their basket
and as usual,
Dad is right.

Fergus was the first one
to take the plunge.
After that then everyone
decided that it might be fun
so we had to hurry and
get them back in the puppy box.

Now we are wondering
which one will be the first
to learn to escape it.

JUST LIKE HUMAN PUPS

After
The Sweet Babes
eat their puppy gruel

they all get their
faces and paws washed

they play a bit in their basket
while Mom is changing their bed

and today we noticed
that Mackie's ears have "bloomed"

And then they all play a bit
as soon as they get in their clean bed

before falling asleep.

If you think this video looks a bit blurry,
it's because there is a find coating
of baby powder all over our house!!
Mom did not realize it was on the video camera
until after she had finished videoing!

If you came in,
you'd think we had a human pup -
baby wipes, baby powder, scales, combs
weight charts ......

But we love them
and
it is a blessing to have them here.

WOW!! THOSE PUPPIES CHANGE SOME EVERY DAY!!

Every day we see some changes
in our Sweet Babes -
we think it must happen
when they are sleeping!!

They all sleep so comfortably -
and in the strangest positions -
sometimes all piled up together
and sometimes all lying on their backs.

They love doing a photo-shoot
with Dad while Mom is changing their bed.

If you look close
at this "alligator" mouth,
you will see some teefers poking through.

We wonder -
how could a sweet face like this
ever bite anyone.
