IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY - A TRIBUTE, AN AWARD and A VISIT

Good Morning,

And welcome to Wheely Wednesday. First, we want to start out with a tribute to our Dad. You may remember that he was our first Wheely Wednesday driver.

Today, we are sad
because he had to go
back to school.
Notice our tribute background.

Here he goes,
lunch in hand
with his brief case
and his laptop.
Today is the first day
that the kids come back.
We hope everything goes smooth.

On a lighter note,
we received a PAWSOME AWARD
from
Martine, Candy and Captain Crunch
over at
I Need a Sugar Fix.
We are grateful to them and as instructed,

TRUE COLOURS THURSDAY AND AWARDS!!!

Good Morning,

And welcome to "True Colours Thursday". Today's color is one of our huMom's favorites - cobalt. (we hope she doesn't bore you!!). If you'd like to play along, just go over to Blue's blog and let her know you want to participate. And then you're in - it's that easy! Next week's color is purple.

This first picture
is of our cousin, Lucinda,
in her beautiful and unique prom dress
that changes from red to cobalt.
Isn't she lovely?

Last October,
our huMom left us
in the care of Dad
so that she could go to Haiti
on a mission trip.
This cobalt art vendor's stand in Haiti
caught Mom's eye
because of it's message.

Every year our peeps
go to Lake Lure for a few days with friends.
In Hendersonville, NC
there are these fabulous artistic goats
lining the streets.
We're sure there has to
be some cobalt somewhere on this goat.

Last fall for
Mom and Dad's Wedding Anniversary,
we sent them to see the frescoes
in West Jefferson, NC
and to Shatley Springs for lunch.
(they brought us back a doggie bag!!)
Isn't this a beautiful cobalt sky?

When Mom was a little girl
she decided that when she grew up
she wanted to have cobalt Fiestaware dishes.
Guess what?
She still wants to have cobalt Fiestaware,
but sometimes she accents it with other colors.
(Dad took our camera on a field trip today,
so Mom swiped this picture off of Ebay
but it's exactly like something she would do.
She has a kindred spirit selling on Ebay.)

Can you imagine anyone ever wanting
to leave us and get away for a weekend?
Last summer Mom and Dad
went to Big Stone Gap to see the outdoor drama,
"The Trail of the Lonesome Pine"
and then they went to
Cumberland Gap.
A nice man took this photo of then
overlooking Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky.

Every year Mom looks for
unique Christmas cards
featuring either
Scotties or Chocolate Labs.
This is one of the ones she considered
this past year.
