FALL IS FALLING......

So many signs around us
point to Fall being in the air.

Beautiful intricate spider webs.

Sometimes,
they even have spiders in them!!

Snakes changing their clothing
for larger sizes.

Us, having to wear our raincoats
to go for our walkies
because of the Fall hurricane season.

and

guess

what

we

didn't

see,

but Mom saw him
and she cleverly steered us away.
(this picture is from google)
As we were walking one day this week,
in the rain,
Mom saw a six-foot long black snake
start to cross our road -
she averted a scary situation
by directing our attention elsewhere
so that he could cross in peace.

WHEW!!

XOXO,
The Rocky Creek Scotties and Ivy

As the song by Jim Stafford says "I don't like spiders and snakes
And that ain't what it takes to love me!" APPLIES.

It all sounds so lovely! It is so hot here now. Had the perfect summer until these past two weeks.

You have a very smart Mom. Our Mom tries to keep us from noticing certain things in the yard, too. We've found his old skins sometimes, but so far we haven't seen him.

McBeth has a deep hatred of snakes...he was the neighborhood hero years ago when he began to bark at a group of children playing near a new house. He slipped his collar then dashed into the woodpile only to come out a second later with a remnants of a rattle snake! We rushed to the vets office but M was fine...scared the heck out of me!

Your mom is very levelheaded when it comes to snakes! Our mom would have screamed and run and dragged us along behind her!

Love ya lots

My mom person thinks that you look like very small ponies in your raincoats! Very cute.

It does seem like Fall - and hardly seems like we have had what M calls Summer....
