A COW GOT IN OUR YARD

We want to send out
a very special thanks to
for making this post possible.

Piper really set off the alert
when a cow got
through the fence
and into our yard.

It all started
on Thursday afternoon
when Mom decided to let
us go outside and
spend some time
in our pen.

 Before long,
Piper started doing
a lot of barking.
Mom looked out the window
at him,
but there didn't really seem
to be anything amiss.
She thought there
might have been
a frog jumping
outside of the pen
teasing us.

But Piper kept on-
barking louder and longer...

so Mom
decided she'd better do
something about it.

When she came
out to get us,
Piper jumped
over Lilly to get out
of our pen.
When Mom turned
to see what Piper was after,
she saw there was a cow
in our yard.

 When Dad came home,
he looked and looked to
see how the cow could have come
into the yard,
but could not find a place.
Dad put her back through the gate.

 And now she is in
this big field,
all alone.

 We think she likes us
because she stalks us
when we walk
up and down the road.

Until next time..

XOXO
Lilly, Piper and Ivy

Those cows can be pretty friendly. The bulls, on the other paw, can be rather surly from what Mom's told me. I'm glad she likes it there with you!

P.S. Kuster says thanks for the birthday wishes!

Of course she likes you! Every one and every thing likes you! How could it be any other way!?

Wonder how she got out--jumped? maybe she was visiting from another farm. She probably just wanted to play. Cows are so curious.

We would have been barking our heads off if a cow or any animal invaded our yard. Good work, Piper.

Oh my that would have made Bug crazy. She gets so excited over deer and squirrels. We have started letting her run like crazy around the back yard now after we have been away for a few hours. She is better at coming when she is called now. Next month she will be 4.

Hmm...this makes us think of 2 all beef paddies, special sauce chese lettuce onions blah blah on a sesame seed bun...(Lacie typed bum first, giggled and deleted it...she's rather easily amoosed,)

A COW... we've had deer, turkeys, bunnies, but never a cow. Perhaps you could milk her...get the cream, some beaters, sugar and make fresh whipped to go with some hot carob????

Maybe she's lonely...she needs another cow for company!!
