When babies are born,
they live in a whelping box
with their Mom
until their eyes are open
and they are walking around.
When Mom has to clean their whelping box
(usually at this stage, it's twice a day)
she finds another box to put them in.

This time it was a
Coca-Cola box.
She put a nice soft towel
in the bottom
and then lined it with a fleece blanket.
When the puppies leave us,
they will get to take
one of these fleece blankets
home with them so they
will have the smell of their litter
to comfort them for a night or two.

But they are growing so fast
that Mom thinks that soon
she'll have to
"break out the basket"
because her Coca-Cola box
will not hold them too many more days!!

Love the babes against that red blanket. Miss Emma looks as big as Brodie! I can't believe Ivy's size, she looks HUGE!
Hugs & kisses to all,
Linda, Abby & Arlo
Hey there Lilly and babies....Miss Lynn surely picked a nice box to put you in while she cleans! Miss Emma, you be a good girl! Hugs and kisses from me and Bosco!
Earlier in the week when my dogs had their birthday, the vet and I were remembering how I brought them all in for their first visit in a shoe box. Boy that didn't last long.
That's a great idea sending the blankets with the departing pups. They are so beautiful.
Ivy has certainly grown!!
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

Benny & Lily
Your little babes are growing way too fast!! Ivy has too, and I can't believe how grown up she looks!!
By the way Todd still has his blanket, and still loves to snuggle in a towel or something soft.
Lynn, I went to Kim's blog today and watched Todd play in the snow, did you see him play?? Did you get any of that white stuff??
The pups are so cute!! Good job Lilly!!
xx, Fern
I really like the idea with the blankets. I had a gorilla which had my littermates' smell on it, but I would have appreciated a blanket too!
They are growin'!!
