Our blue birds are returning
to this old bird house
that must be a gazillion years old
because Mom made it when
she was a kid -
and you know she's getting ancient!

I was going to put up bluebird houses this year, but the person at the shop talked me out of it because I would have put them on our fence posts and he told me predators could climb the fence and get to them...I've been thinking of a bat house instead on the barn...
One of the girls doesn't have a forever-home?? I'm sure it won't take long for that to change--I think a little boy would be a better fit for our household...
;-))
We love to watch the Bluebirds that live around here!
Puppies on the prowl!

Sounds like Fergus and Jock are going to be the adventurers of the group :o)
Our bluebirds are here, too, and battling the dratted sparrows for the bluebird boxes. I've put fishing line over the holes to keep out the sparrows, but they break the line with their beaks. So I've resorted to wire. It's keeping the sparrows out, but the bluebirds have disappeared. I think they got tired of the battle. To Kim at Golden Pines - there are predator guards that you can put on the boxes to keep the bluebirds safe. They look a 4" tube that projects out from the hole - supposed to prevent predators from getting in.
Have a great day :o)

Hhmmm....a little girl needs a home....I better talk to Beth....of course, Ozabella might not like that....
That's a very nice birdhouse!! The puppies are just so adorable! Lots of love, Holly and mom
I'm sure that the lassie will find a loving home too. It's so nice to see how they are growing. Crawling already! Love, Love, Love

I put a bluebird box up for the first time this year but so far no takers...is there still time?
Beautiful blue bird. Lady we would love to babysit those teeny kids.

I can't imagine there is anyone that sweet Lily does not love.

Yeah for bluebirds and sweetie pie puppies!
Isn't it amazing how fast they start exploring, even before the eyes are open. Bailey kept trying to get out of the box and the day the eyes opened up, three of them were out and starting down the hall to find me.
Bluebirds and babies...great post!
xoxo
You just know with names like Fergus and Jock they're going to be testing the envelope.
What a pretty bluebird house! It's held up well! hehehe
Those puppies are so cute! I love seeing them!!
Love,

We have a Cardinal sitting on eggs in our lilac bush. When I go to sit under my bush, Mama Cardinal dive bombs me. What does she think I am a Cat? I do like eggies though.
Sweet William The Scot
I'm happy the puppies are getting bigger and staying healthy and of course cute!!
Well, that little girl puppy just might need to stay HOME!

Wish we could take that little girl - so good to know there are so many homes ready and waiting for one of those sweet babes. Just adorable.

How they have grown. Will you keep the last little girl. Glad the blubirds keep coming back and they must find it cosy. Hugs GJ x
We bet that little girl will have a forever home in no time. All of the pups are just adorable!
Love ya lots

Your Mom must be a great birdhouse builder....we doubt that anything SHE makes would last the season.
Love those puppy pictures. We'd love to have that little girl, but know that's not going to happen.

Blue birds!!! I would love to see some of those. We put out the house and nothing! BUT we have Goldfinches and they seem to be a bit brighter earlier than normal.
I hope someone picks that little girl....oh how I wish we were ready for another!
Fergus and Jock sound like the Weasley twins from Harry Potter! I bet they'll be pulling pranks in no time. I bet their new families are all so excited!
Bunny
I'm tempted....
We have a bluebird box that is 28 years old. That is the first gift Tom got me. He bought me that bluebird box about 9 months after we got together!! For sure, my kind of guy.
I would love to hold and smell the puppies!!
