FLYING PUPPIES??

There are many serious puppy inquiries
that fall through because Mom
won't let puppies fly alone
in the cargo hold of a plane.

She is not being obstinate or hateful,
she is just super careful
and cares about the welfare of the puppies.
She feels like her duty to them
does not end
when they leave us.

And reading this article yesterday,
confirmed to her why she feels that way.

If you don't want to read the article,
here's the gist of it -
A man fell asleep on a plane,
didn't get off when he should have
and ended up in a hangar for repairs.
Just imagine if that happened to a puppy.

XOXO

Hello puppies,
You are so lucky to have a Mom who cares about you so much and won't allow you to fly cargo. I worry about how dogs must feel all alone in cargo even if they might be asleep during the flight. Our coonhound, Daisy, would freak out if she was in cargo so I'd rather drive to a vacation spot instead.

On another note...Daisy & I would like to invite you to visit our blog because we are hosting an awesome PERSONALIZED PET PORTRAIT GIVEAWAY so please check it out....and tell your friends too!

Have a nice day!

Oh I dont blame your mom one bit. I would never wish that for any dog, I think that is seriously wrong!! I would be terrified if I was stuck under the plane like that, I would cry like a pup!!

Your Mommy is very smart because if it gets to hot, then doggies can get really hot.

Your Mom's exactly like ours. Even though she has been assured by reputable kennels that the dogs are not stressed. She isn't so sure.

Bella had to travel in a plane, but she had someone with her. Then she had to travel 2 days in a car. She hates cars!

I totally agree!! Have you seen the Verizon commercial about the dog that gets out of its crate at the airport & airport staff is calling around trying to find it? While it's supposed to be "light & humorous" I don't see any thing funny about a dog getting out of its crate on an airport tarmack!

Good for you - I can't imagine how scared a little puppy would be in the hold of an airplane!!! Talk about stress!!! A couple of years ago, an Italian Greyhound got out of its crate at Dulles Airport in D.C. and I don't think they ever found it - poor thing. Better to be safe than sorry -

Both Samba and Fudge flew alone on planes and had no problem, but when it came time to send my babies off to new homes, I didn't consider anyone who wasn't within driving distance. I wanted to be able to see them now and then and I do.

We are always weary of people who will ship a pup without an escort!

When my parents moved from CA to Chicago they had to fly. Sherman and Bailey were too big to fit under the seat and had to fly in a crate. It was a very huge ordeal... they could only fly during certain months because of extreme cold or extreme heat. It was not a pleasant experience for them, but there was no other option.

We are glad you wont let the pups fly solo.

Loving pet owners should only want to get their future family members from you. Responsible breeders don't ship their puppies. You're a wonderful person.

We have many friends who are commercial airline pilots and the stories they have told about the cargo area of planes would break your heart.

Going to England we flew the pets on British Airways because they have select planes with certain areas set up for pets (and you do pay through the nose but they are my pets.) Coming back the pets flew on Delta...the flight itself was OK but the handling of the pets in the Airport was terrible. I spent 30 minutes running around baggage claim frantically only to find they had been dropped unattended outside the doors...

See, this is what makes Them think They'll never get to fly me anywhere. There's no way She'd let me fly in a cargo hold. What are we going to do about this you guys???? Let's start our own airline! (And NOT the one that's all pets, BUT it's really all CARGO and no people either.) Roodles, Stuart
