Last night,

Jazzi learned a new trick!!

She crawled out

of the puppy box -

and she's done it

again today.

We have to keep

a close eye on that gal.

 

 We think the order of puppies

is

Jazzi,

Penny

MacAdoo

Gavan

and

Aidan.

Our little

"spoonin' snugglers"

are

Jazzi and Gavan.

Please remember our

East Coast friends 

in your prayers -

it will take a long

time to recover

from the wrath of Sandy.

 We know Lilly

thinks that every time

she gets the puppies settled down,

Mom comes along to do

something for them -

kind of like being 

in a human hospital - hehe.

She will be going 

to live with

a sweet black Scottie brother

in Arkansas.

 Aidan

 Gavan

Jazzi -

she will be 

in a three Scottie family.

Her family

already has

a wheaten Scottie

and a black Scottie.

We're not sure 

exactly where the boys

will be placed,

but they do have homes.

All of them 

will have Scottie siblings.

ONE POUND AND RISING....

We've heard it said

that you should put a marker

near something 

if you want to see

how much it is growing.

Mom never remembers

this when we have puppies.

 

 On the first night

of this clan's life,

she started putting

them in a shoe box

when she needed to

change their sheets

and clean the puppy box.

   

 Every night,

she and Dad

talked about how much

they had grown, 

but Mom

didn't photograph it.

 

 And now

she could kick herself

because,

collectively,

they have gained a pound

and you can really

see the difference.

 

(Aidan)

When they were born,

they weighed an average

of 8.5 ounces

and now they weigh an average

of 11.75 ounces.

They are growing

like little Scottie puppies should.

A QUICK UPDATE

 Piper is enjoying

a few minutes outside

before the storm hits 

the mountains of Virginia -

state of emergency

has already been declared here.

Jazzi is already complaining

about being laid

on her back!!

 

 

Here is sweet little Aidan.

FOUR DAYS OLD AND GROWING...

It always pleases Mom

when Lilly gets

comfortable enough

with the "new Mom" duties

to be able to lie down

and feed her babies. 

 Lilly looks like 

she is getting much more rest.

 

 Look how Gavan's

little nose and pads

are starting to darken.

 Penny's are really dark!!

 

And you can see 

that MacAdoo

has a little

"soul-patch"

on his chin.

THE FIRST VET VISIT AND VIDEO

This morning,

Ivy was left

guarding the house

(and her Jollyball)

 Piper walked guard duty

around our dog pen

 The cattle

kept guard over

our barn and fields

while

 

 The Sweet Buglets

and 

Lilly

went to the Dogtor

for The Buglets

to have their first outing -

and to have
their dewclaws removed.

It gave them a lot to talk
about as they chattered
all the way home.

Lilly was quick to 
get them soothed.

and soon they were
all enjoying a mid-morning snack.

    

   

Then it was time

for everyone to get a nap.

A BIG CELEBRATION AND A WINNER!!

ONE DAY OLD and WE KNOW WE'RE SLOW!!

All day long yesterday,

Piper kept trying

to sneak around

and see the buglets.

 It seemed to him

that he got met

with rejection

at every angle.

 And Lilly always

had at least

one of the buglets

tucked out of sight.

But here they are

in

their 

day old pictures.

 Buglet #1

is a

black/brindle male.

We are calling him

MacAdoo.

 Buglet #2

is a 

wheaten female.

We are calling her

Penny.

 Buglet #3

is a 

wheaten male.

We are calling him

Aidan.

 Buglet #4

is a 

wheaten male.

We are calling him

Gavan.

 Buglet #5

is a

wheaten female.

Tradition holds

that we will call her

Jazzi.

(We really considered Skippy)

   

Of course,

getting them to all

line up for you

is harder now than 
it will be later!!

But if you look closely,

you can see 

that they are all there.
