LIVE STRONG

Our dear friend, Ronnie
is fighting a battle right now -
cancer has invaded his body
for the second time
and now doctors are helping
him fight it.
He has already finished his chemotherapy
and has stepped on to the radiation phase
of his treatment.
Ronnie is a Christian,
a dear soul,
a wonderful family man
and
a good friend.
We pray for his family daily.

But we also want to make you aware
of the dangers of cancer
to our breed.
Did you know that the # 1
danger to Scotties
is pesticides and herbicides.

Did you know that one of the nicknames
for a Scottie is
"the Diehard".
And that a lot a times
a Scottie will be on death's door
before their people even know they are ill.
Cancer is serious business -
to humans and animals alike.
We would love to see it eradicated
in our lifetime.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

We will hold your dear friend Ronnie in our thoughts and prayers. It is horrible how much this evil has invaded so many lives. Your post is just simply beautiful. We loved the poem about what cancer cannot do. LiveStrong - we will all beat it together.

Our prayer, too, is that some day very soon no creature ever has to battle this evil monster. We send your friend positive thoughts and healing energy to aid in his fight. BTW, thanks for your kind words. The show was a beautiful sharing of art and friendship. Please visit me again.

Paws crossed here for your friend Ronnie that the treatments will help the cancer to go in remission. It is a terrible thing and my human grandpa died of it too.

We have our paws crossed for your friend Ronnie.

We especially love the message you posted last - there are times when we are faced with so much troubles we get overwhelmed and taken over by our weaknesses but that message reminds us that there struggles, problems and even cancer can be so limited and it is always worth a try to LiveStrong.

Thanks Lynn, we're thinking good thoughts for your friend and you're right, we all need to concentrate on finding cures for canine cancer. It takes too many good dogs way too soon.

Cancer is a terrible disease and today has been a good day of thanks for those who have conquered their illness and to remember those who are still fighting the battle and sadly for those who lost it. We will say a prayer for strength and healing for your dear friend Ronnie.

I also didn't know that about Scottie's--There was a statistic around a few years ago that 85% of all Goldens die from cancer--Whatever breed you have, or how many there are, it's still too many.

Paws crossed for your friend!

Cancer is a huge threat to Greyhounds, too, especially osteosarcoma. We hope one day it will be gone!

Great post to celebrate Ronnie's life! It is amazing to see so many of us bloggers stand together and sad to learn of how much cancer has touched each of us.

Their dear BoBo, my predecessor, succumbed to complications from cancer and my human grandmother passed one year ago yesterday from that nasty disease.

Thanks for telling everybody about Scotties and the big "C."
