MONDAY MONDAY

Good Morning All,

And Happy Monday. We had a really laid back weekend so there is not much to blog about today. We did enjoy seeing the butterflies flutter around Dad's wildflowers.

And we got to spend some time playing in our pen. Mom will only let us go out there when it's still cool early in the morning or late in the evening. She doesn't want to take a chance on us getting overheated or sunburned.

Remember to be careful with your dogs in the sun. They are susceptible to sunburn and heatstroke. They can even develop skin cancer. Use sunscreen (be careful and don't get it in their eyes) on them if they will be out for an extended period of time in the sun. And always remember to keep them hydrated with cool, clean water.

Have a Marvelous Monday,
XOXO

Mum said she quite agrees about the sun, even for us cats. My mum had a friend who's cat sat out in the sun every day, she got skin cancer on her ears and had a bad time for quite a while. So good advice.

Love the butterflies. sadly we dont see a lot here anymore, with all the pesticides. that is such a shame.

Hugs GJ xx

Happy Monday to you guys. That is very sound advice about sun burn. We are always so careful after we have been clipped. Mind you the sun seems to have disappeared in England!

You guys have one smart mom who loves you and takes great care of you!
We've never worn sunscreen before but I, Miss Maggie, would rather die than spend time in the sun - give me deep shade and Mitch seeks the shade too this time of year if he's outside!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Your pen looks fun... good thing no one jumped out of it!!

Our pen is 5 foot tall - we might could climb out of it or dig under it, but with our short legs, 3 foot is a high jump for us.

We enjoy being out there so we can run back and forth without leashes or supervision. Java is always off leash so he never goes in the pen.

XOXO

No worries for us, we go out very early in the morning, like at 5:00am and then we sleep all day. It can get very hot here this time of the year. We loved seeing your beautiful flowers and your even more beautiful selves.

Arroooo! Thanks for the birthday wishes! It was great to finally get my party! Mom wanted me to tell you she recently saw a cute black scottie napkin ring holder on ebay, and she thought of you!

Stay cool during these dawg days. We're headin to the beach and it's gonna be a culture shock. We've been enjoying unseasonably cool 60° days. Gotta remember to pack my beach shirt. (hunka hunka!)

Love you guys,
Wish you were on our route south,
Jake (and Fergi, whose beard is blowing in the breeze)

Very good advice, with 2 of us being white we have to worry about that too & our Crested brother & sister have sunscreen on them ALL over when they are in the sun, that's one problem with being hairless, that & bein funny lookin! BOL!!

Thanks for reminding me about sunburn. I haven't gotten it yet, but will be watching closely. Sorry it's been so long since we've visited!

Hmmm...I am a sun goddess and my humans have never put sunscreen on me. I think I will need to talk with them about that especially since I have very thin fur...do dogs lose their fur when they get older like my dad? ~Twix
