Good Morning All,It's True Colours Thursday and we have to agree with Maggie and Mitch's Mom - where does time go? It seems as if it was just Thursday. Today's color is PURPLE and if you wish to play along, please go by Blue's Blog and let her know. And then you are in. It's that simple. Next week's color is IVORY.
Mom couldn't do a blog on purple without showing a picture of our century old lilac bush. She looks forward to seeing it bloom every spring and though it's blooms are getting few and far between, it's still her favorite lilac because her grandmother planted it around 1900. We're glad Dad is taking care of it because we're sure you have heard the rumors of the flowers that Mom tries to care for (it's not a pretty sight!).
Contrary to popular belief, Scotties do shed and do Labs ever shed. Mom has a Dyson Purple Animal Vacuum Cleaner and she thinks it's the best one she's ever had. We would like to show you a video of Piper attacking it, but Mom tries not to encourage him in this awful behavior. She snagged this photo off the Dyson website because her vacuum looks pretty bad after all of the "Scottie Attacks". 
Before Mom and Dad went to get Carrleigh, Mom went to the Vet's office to purchase her a Lupine collar. She purchased this purple one and unless Carrleigh is bathing, she is never without it - she looks so pretty in purple. Mom caught her sleeping and snapped this photo
Our final picture is the moon over Rocky Creek Farm. Our favorite is when we see this sliver of a moon in the purple evening sky.
And now a little story about our big sissy, Kat. Kat's favorite color is purple and that is one of the reasons that she and Carrleigh are BFF. When Kat was a little girl, she had a purple dress that was her absolute favorite. She was one of the lucky kids that grew up, not out. So this purple dress fit her for years - by the time Mom retired it, she had sewn about 6 different ruffles around the bottom. Mom still has the dress in her keepsakes.

Oh my, Piper is BRAVE, attacking the vacuum cleaner! I'm so impressed, I'd like to do that, but I'm too scared of the noise so I have to run out into the garden instead, on the (thankfully rare) occasions when Gail decides to do some cleaning.

The bottom one is my most favoritest purple of all! (I'm a little scared of our purple vacuum cleaner - I think it is the exact same one, but it frightens me - it moves fast and is noisy. I should be the only one in the house that is allowed to be that way!)
Oh brave is the word.we have one of those dyson monsters. I hate it and hde when it is on.

Mom wanted one of those purple Dyson's but then gram went and gave her the one that she had! We hate the vacuum! Why did they ever have to be invented?!

Great purple post. Mom LOVES lilacs and yours is gorgeous. And that purple color is pretty special too. We have a purple Dyson too but we run away from it,especially Dakota. Thanks for sharing all your pretty purple.

We were supposed to get the purple Dyson but they shipped us the wrong one - Mom got them to take money off it SOOO she saved a hundred pieces of green paper - we've learned to live with a red and gray one!
