Our Mom says "Life is so much merrier with a Scottish Terrier".
This morning we received an email from a neighbor. It had a series of 4 pictures showing a squirrel rescuing it's baby from the "paws" of a dog that upon first glance we thought was Dexter. Unfortunately stooopid Blogger/satellite is giving us fits this morning on our uploads. Must be a cloud out there somewhere blocking us. The momma squirrel was desperate to get her baby out of the clutches of the inquisitive dog - and he wasn't even carrying the OWAS hammer or wearing the official logo. Obviously there are a lot of dogs out there working undercover.
We observed a squirrel running a reconissance mission about noon yesterday. Our ferocious barking scared it back into hiding.
Have a Magnificent Monday, XOXO Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Java
Hi Scotties! It's been a while! And that certainly looks like Dexter! Good pictures - what an effort by mama squirrel! Amazing... Hope you are all doing well - Thanks so much for your comments - I'm playing catch-up, nudging mom to type faster! Hugs xo Sammie
WOW! What interesting action photos.... we saw some squirrels attaching each other on Saturday maybe their is some sort of mad squirrel disease going on her in CA.
Wow - that is one determined squirrel - well, I always knew they took care of their own - I can admire the enemy for that - but i will still chase those little buggers up a tree.

Scots swimming in the snow
Check us out!! We had a foot of snow the 1st of March. We liked it and did Piper ever get covered with little snowballs. His skirt is the longest!! Imagine that. I don't know why we girls couldn't have longer furnishings.

Good job and I for one sleep better at night(and most of the day) knowing that you are out there protecting us from the furry rodents.
licks and sniffs, Sasha
Yuh, that looks just like my dorky brother. Those labradogs are all the same.
Slobbers,
Mango
hope that doggy is okay and yes, there are lots of dogs working undercover... good work yesterday!
Oh you sure are on your guard there. That squirell mum was giving a run for its money.
Hugs GJ xx
Wow, that squirrel was on a mission! Thank goodness that the doggie was on top of things and told her who was boss!
Love ya lots,

Hee hee. "Javasit, Javaheel." We have similar commands here.
I have overheard momma say that Mango is as dumb as a bag of rocks, so you certainly aren't hurting MY feelings by pointing out how smart I am.
Kisses,
Dexter

I am glad it was not Dexter, and good thing you guys are on the job keeping it safe where you are.
We heard a Mama Tree Rat is just like a Mama Bear, those pikchurs are proof of that. Thanks for the warning!

What a remarkable photo. Just goes to show you that a mother's love will bring her to battle even the largest foe.
