HAS IT REALLY BEEN A WEEK?

When we checked our blog this morning,
we realized that it
had been a week
since we've posted.

We think of you daily
and have been reading your blogs,
but sometimes we don't always comment -
we have been having a bit
of a problem with Blogger
when it comes to leaving comments.

This week leading up to Christmas,
we have been trying to help
Mom and Dad
as much as we can.

We've tested boxes
for size and function.

We've volunteered
to try out any new recipes
that Mom is making.

We've played together a lot
and tried to stay out from underfoot.

We've sat quietly
in advisory positions.

But most of all,
we've been helping them get ready

Christmas Eve's Eve
which is known
as
Chili Day
at our house.
On this day,
our Dad makes
his famous chili.
All of our family and neighbors
come over for a bowl full
of the steamy goodness.

We can hardly wait -
maybe a bit will spill
and they will need a clean-up crew.

XOXO

We are also having problems with blogger--I've decided that I need a new computer and not a new blog... ;-))

Your plans sounds like a lot of fun!! If I lived closer, I'd invite myself!! ;-))

Have a great Christmas week...MacBeth stole with an entire piece of sweet potato poundcake this morning from a quilters coffee break morning at my house. Usually he is a good dog but this new diet is trying his patience! He would make short work of a bowl of chili....

Oh yes the Bug has been hovering along the kitchen cupboards waiting for me to drop something or hoping I will take pity on her and drop her a bite of something. We had our family Christmas gathering this past Sunday and she did not get much. But I did catch my granddaughter letting her lick her candy cane. I said no and missed the perfect picture. I have not been blogging mush at all myself thought I had better catch up. I am way behind on my e-mails also. Merry Christmas!
