PUTTIN' ON THE DOG

If most of your peeps are like our Mom,
(who by the way is terribly spoiled - BOL!!)
when it comes time to pick a gift for her,
one can never go wrong with a Scottie ite
m.
(we know your peeps probably don't want Scottie
items, but would prefer Airedale, Sibe, Fox Terrier,
Golden, Mastiff, Lab items, etc, etc,
but you get the picture)

And this Christmas was no different.
(Some of the pictures are professional photos
downloaded from websites
)
And as she's making these photos,
she's sure she's left out one or two -
at least a pair of socks that

are in the washer right now.

Our sweet sissy, Kat,
found this vintage brush holder
in an antique shop in California.
She said as soon as she saw it,
she knew what Mom

was getting for Christmas.
The only worry she had was that
Mom might get another dog
before Christmas!

Mom almost always wears a piece of Scottie jewelry
and she doesn't care if it's a Christmas pin-
she'll wear it in July if it matches her outfit.
This cutie was in Mom's stocking.

And our sweet furiends,
Fergie and Jake
and their peeps,
Sally and Nina

sent us these beautiful neckwarmers
and we sure have put them to good use
with the freezing temperatures
we've been having.

But tucked in the envelope
was this precious Scottie ornament.

Of course Mom claimed it right away!

Our Dad is really sneaky
when it comes to wrapping presents.
Mom had a bag of Ghiradelli chocolates
in her stocking.
Mom always says it's OK to eat chocolate
before breakfast on Christmas morning.
When she opened the bag
to snag a piece of chocolate,
she found this bracelet.
Later in a gift she found the Scottie charm.

Granny gave her this Scottie bag.

And her cousin
surprised her with these
sweet Scottie Pajamas

Santa left this J P Ourse
Scottie change purse
in her stocking.

And Dad sent her on a scavenger hunt
to find this
Dooney and Bourke Lucy bag.
Only Mom's had the Scottie tag
which Dad had to bargain with
the store manager
so she would change
the bone tag on Mom's purse
for a Scottie tag on another purse.
Evidently D & B had changed tags
in the middle of their production
and Dad knew that Mom would
have to have the Scottie tag.

It's a toss-up as to who is spoiled the most -
Mom, Lilly or Kat.

XOXO

Those are wonderful presents. Our Mom likes to collect PWD things, too and this year she got some earrings, a necklace and a couple pins.

She also got a hand painted purse and a jacket. You guys should go out together and show off your loot.

Too funny! SHE got a DB Scottie tote bag, the white one, and it had the dog bone on it. The MR. tried and tried to get the lady to swap it out and she wouldn't. SHE loves it anyways.

cute loot!

I just ordered a bag from D&B two days ago so I called to see what tag I was getting and see if it could be the dog. Seems they had to change it because of "copyright infringement". Good grief. How do you copyright a sillouete of a Scotty?

I would love to know where your grandmother got you the brown bag. It's beautiful.

Lynn, Kit told me once how to set the day and time on my blog and it didn't work. I tried it many time and I know I did it right because Tom did it once too. I had forgotten about it until I was doing it. Did it twice and it does not work. I'll just have to live with it this way. Thanks again for your help!!! Fern

This was the best Christmas gift post we can imagine! We LOVE all the Scottie gifts you enjoyed on Christmas! Moma is noticing more and more Scottie things since we've gotten to know you ... and there are lots around! It's fun to spot them.

Did you get any Scottie black licorice? We saw some, and bought it, and meant to send it (no, we didn't eat it!) but forgot. We ended up giving it to Nessie (our Scottie neighbor) and it made her moma happy.

Enjoy January!

Pee esS Now Moma is hoping for a D and B purse with wires. Think it'll happen?

Wooos Really cool Scottie things,Mum likes them too because she has a soft spot for Scotties and westies, as a little girl she always said she would have one, she still doesn't but still has a lot of cute scotties around the house, including a scottie necklace for Christmas. (she also got Husky earrings)

Beautiful presents, yes. But I am in two minds about having all these replicas about the house. (And believe me, our place is positively swarming with different types of Westie, including 2 very posh new mugs from Christmas). I mean, I know its supposed to be flattering, but don't you sometimes think, am I not sufficient myself? Why the need for pale imitations?
Just a thought...
Happy New Year,
Cheers, H.

Great pressies!! So many scotties, so little time! Is that a Pandora bracelet?? Mom has one is loves changing the beads to fit the season! What a great dad you have to bargain with the store to get the special tag on that purse. You were the first ones we though of you when we saw one of those D&B purses at our mall here!!

We use to have a little heater in the bird bath. Had it for years. It broke about 3 or 4 years ago and Tom just never replaced it. He said tonight if this keeps up we will have to get another one.
I just empty out the ice in the am and put warm water in the bird bath. Tom's big water tank is out by the critter feeding station.
THEY said it is going to warm up next week.HOPE!!

The sherbet on our blog is Big Y brand and we know that Friendly's also carries watermelon sherbet! It's dad's favorite!
We hope you find some! It's yummy!
