THE LAST RESORT NEEDS OUR HELP

This morning,
Mom received an email
from Samatha
at
The Last Resort
in
West Milford, NJ.

It seems they need our help.
Even though they can always
use your monetary donations,
this time they are asking for a minute
of your time and a click of your mouse.

They are in a contest

and are barely squeaking by
in first place.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR BABIES!!

How does one year
go running by so fast?

It seems like it was just yesterday
that our Mom miscounted
the number of puppies at our house.

Remember how we had
to paint their toenails
to tell them apart.

We just loved seeing
those puppy piles
and sharing them with you.

We held them
close to our hearts

and

they grew up so fast.

Snickers aka Becky Bluebonnet
led the pack
in opening their eyes.

Soon after that
they all got new collars -
blue for boys,
pink for girls.

Most of the time,
they were so sweet and loving
with each other.

They quickly learned that when they heard
"where's my puppy - wuppies"
that food was on the way.

And as soon as they got
their tummies full,
they fell asleep-
sometimes in their food bowl - hehehe!!

They loved having
Aunt Lilly jump in
for a visit -
she was so patient with them,
even when they
pulled on her beard.

And pretty soon
they outgrew their basket.

And before long,
they were outgrowing
their puppy box

And too soon,
they left us

to go to their forever homes.

But what wonderful homes they have!!
And what fantastic Peeps!!
Here are some of their

Angus was the most popular
suggested name for a boy puppy.

But we absolutely
love the name he has now.

Bailey had his peeps
make us a SmileBox.

We just got an email from them
and they want us to let you know
that they are thinking of all of the
birthday pups and wish them well
today and every day.

This is the puppy that
you named Finlay -

He's a big boy now -
Murphy Rushlow -
not only does he have his
own motorcycle and driver -
he also has his own Facebook page.

Our little Henry,
we knew from the moment
his Mother put him in our Mom's hand
that he was destined to stay
on Rocky Creek Farm.

We just had a hard time
picking out a name for

Ruairi Coinneach of Rocky Creek Farm -
aka "the handsome red king" -
doesn't he look just like his Father
in this picture?

The smallest of the puppies -
by 2/10 of an ounce -
our little
Snazzi Jazzi

became

Miss Finleigh McBee of Signy's Cottage -
and she is sporing her signature bow!

This little gal
was named Ciera
by our Irish friends,
Clive and Murray.

You probably remember
that her name is now
Lady Victoria - Tori for short.
She, too, is enjoying
the Winter snows.

And Miss Snickers
who is now
"the hostess with the mostess"
and is celebrating
on her blog.

We feel it is our civic duty

Two men came to our house today
with a great big box.

Mom says it's a treadmill -

to show her how it works -

JOIN THE CELEBRATION - IT'S LILLY'S GOTCHA DAY

There's a pawty going on
at our house today.
It marks the 4 year anniversary
of
Lilly's arrival
at
Rocky Creek Farm.

This is Ryder -
Lilly's handsome father.

And her beautiful Mother,
Laurie-Darlin'.
One of those teeny-tiney puppies
is our Lillybug.
She was the only girl in her clan
and the Alpha dog.
She still retains her Alpha status here-
among us dogs that is.
hehehe!!

These are the first pictures
that Mom received of
little "Lilly".

Mom fell in love
with her immediately.

Mom had planned to name her
"Bonny Greer"
but the breeder was already
calling her "Lilly".
And since Mom's
great-grandmother
was a Lilly who married a Greer
she took it as a sign -
this was her dog
and her name would be

Spencer's Lilly Greer.

We're so glad we gotcha, Lilly.

A YEAR AGO

We know many of you
are in blizzard conditions today
and we hope you can enjoy your snow
in a safe manner.
Please tell your Peeps
to be careful
if they must go to work.

This time last year,
we were in the midst
of one of the worst Winters
to hit our neck of the woods
for many years.

The snow was so deep
that wild turkeys
would walk from the top
of the snow
and come across our porch.


We took pity
on a little raccoon
that hung around our house.
Mom would throw fruit peelings
and vegetables out for him.
Even though she fed him,
he still girdled
some of our lilac bushes
and
killed them.
It was a harsh winter
and we don't blame him -
he had to keep warm too.

But inside our house,
there was a lot going on.
Mom was getting ready
to serve as a midwife.

And Piper was starting to pace the floor-
he had to be kept in the "waiting" room -
out of the maternity ward.
We had no idea
that we were expecting
NINE
puppies -
we just knew
Carrleigh was one huge gal.
