CLEANING UP AFTER PUPPIES...

We won't subject you
to seeing what a dirty
puppy bed looks like....
but we'll show you how
we clean them up.

 First,
they get put
in a
"holding pen"

 Next we lift up
their bed which
has an empty bottom
and remove the dirty sheets.

First they have
a layer of heavy plastic.

 Next comes
an antimicrobial pad.

 Then a clean sheet.

 That sheet gets baby powdered.
(and until the puppies leave
our house has a fine layer
of baby powder all over it!!)

 Then comes
another clean sheet.

Then the "bed" goes back down
and everything
gets smoothed out.
It's important
there there are no wrinkles.
If there are wrinkles,
they will pull at them
and tear the sheets.

 Next the pups
go back in.

And it's a race
to see who can
make the first wet spot!!

XOXO,
Piper, Celti, Bonnie, Ruben,
Ivy
and
The Love Bugs.

It's good for us to know what's involved in raising pups so we learn to appreciate all the work and attention they get.

Oh boy, I remember those days. The box got cleaned several times a day. Pups too it as a challenge to dirty their nice clean box.
