Dad flew Ruairi
out to them on Tuesday
and he got to fly in the cabin with Dad -
he's a marvelous traveler.
We knew he would be
because he loves to ride.
Guess where he lives now??

Mom just got off the telephone
with Ruairi's new peeps
and he is adjusting beautifully
to his new home.
It's a great fit for all concerned -
we hope to go visit him
sometime soon.

That must have been an awful decision to make, but it looks like the wee beast is happy in his new home.

We are sad to see Ruairi go, but sometimes those decisions just have to be made. We hope Ruairi's new peeps will keep in touch. He sure is a beauty!

So glad you found him a loving home. It must have been hard to part with him, though. I know it would be for me.
That was a tough decision and I know how empty your home feels right now, but it looks like he is going to have a wonderful life with a family that dotes on him.

This post made me misty eyed...and it proves so clearly that, very often, the right thing to do is the hardest thing to do.
Hugs to ALL of you!
Goodbye sweet Ruairi, we will miss you!

Ruairi looks worried in the tote. So glad that family could fly with him! Looks like he is in loving arms.

Seattle is a very terrier-friendly place!
My heart is feeling pinched while reading your post.....I can only imagine the pain you must have felt to make the decision. And I'm sure the pain hasn't subsided yet. You are a WONDERFUL furr-mommy!!! Hug all of the wee ones....maybe it will take a bit of the sting away.
Big hugs to you and your husband,
~Allie and Pippen
Good job Ruairi.

That's a handsome Sherpa!! :)
Glad it all went well, the folks we own the sailboat with just bought a house in Seattle. Guess it's that place to be.

They look so happy all three of them. Being the only doggie is sometimes just the best deal. I'm sure Mr. Malcolm would love to be the only only sometimes!
