OUR THOUGHTS THIS MORNING...

This morning our thoughts
are with our friends and furiends
who live in the path of
Hurricane Irene.
Please take the precautions
that the local authorities
advise.

We know
Becky and Gussie
have had to evacuate their home
and our thoughts and prayers
are with them.

If your peeps have any questions
regarding helping your pet
through a storm,
the ASPCA
offers some guidelines.

Please stay safe and use good judgement.

XOXO
The Rocky Creek Scotties and Ivy

Even though the storm has been downgraded, it is still a very dangerous storm. We are already hearing reports of major power outages. We have our paws crossed for all those in Irene's path - and wow, there are a lot of them. Hope things won't be as bad as expected.

Hopefully those being evacuated gathered up their pets as well. I know from what has happened in our state in the past that that is not always the case.

Keeping everyone in prayer!

Oh what ashame The Strawberry Mallard ~ Becky and Gussie had to evacuate. They did a lot of landscape work this year. Pray when they come back they find everything withstood Irene.

We've had off and on showers all day and now the wind is starting to pick up. I don't think it'll be too bad for us, but my brother down in VA Beach is getting clobbered!

We read on another blog that lots of shelters along the East Coast are taking in pets, too, so there's no reason to leave them behind or not to evacuate and go be safe! I hope everyone will be alright.

We just heard on the news that Irene was in NC causing trouble and was heading to NY. We hope everyone is safe and doesn't take chances. Or better Irene will change her path.

We also hope Becky and G-Dog's house stays safe, too.

Lynn, I had been away during the hurricaine and without a computer to follow everyone on the blogs. Have you heard from Nancy to see how she is doing? You all have been on my mind for so long now and I just pray for God to have protected our friends from harm's way.
