WE DO - DO YOU?

We are wondering
what special sound your breed makes.

Scottish Terriers
are know for their ability to
ARRROOO.

All of the Wheatens
in our family

are "champion" arroooers.

You should hear us
when we get started -
Mom says,
"it would raise the dead".

Sometimes you will even
hear new born puppies arrrooo.

But until this week,
Mom had never heard Lilly
arrrooo.

But she finally heard her-
it was the sweetest, most feminine
arrrooo
you could imagine.

So now we all have earned the name
that Dad gave us.

We are
"The ARRROOO Crew".

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

PS - we want to apologize for our secretary -
you know how hard it is to get
good help these days.
We hope she will
do better as the year progresses.

Isn't that just so sweet - Mom always says the first time she heard each of us "woo", it was like music to her ears, except in the case of TD who has a very harsh woo. And of course, sweet Dakota had the most melodic woo you could ever hear.

Teehee! Glad to hear that Lily is making sweet Arooos! We just kinda 'woof'. Actually, we 'woof' a lot. Although when sleeping, we 'chirp' (so says Mom).

Happy Aroooing!

We Greyhounds are known for rooing, not to me mistaken for arooing like you guys! We're glad Lily found her voice!

Portuguese Water Dogs are know as 'velcro woo woo dogs'. Mine are certainly velcro. I can't move without them accompanying me. I haven't been to the bathroom alone in years. Mine also woo woo. Fudge is the best at it and uses it when he's in trouble to try to explain.

Maybe Lilly just didn't have anything to say.

We all talk as well as arrrroooooo!

We'd love to hear your ARRRROOOO Chorus.

It's great to hear the first arrrooo!! Holly has a very loud bark of a much larger dog than she is. She didn't make a sound though for 3 or 4 months and I was beginning to wonder if she was ever going to say anything. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Macbeth didn't bark or arooo for the first year...I began to wonder if maybe something was wrong...but then a deer jumped over the fence, he started barking and hasn't stopped yet. An arooo is serious stuff for him though.

Love it!
I love to whine while I sleep, but that is the only noise I'm really "allowed" to make :( Due to guide dog training!
(Well - I'm not allowed to whine... but she can't really stop me while I'm sleeping!).
Such cute pictures :)

Oh geez, where do we begin?? Frenchies are capable of a symphony of sounds, from our usual snorts and snortles, to fabulous snoring abilities. Then there's the "Frenchie Death Yodel", a pathetic/piercing noise unlike anything else you've ever heard. We'll have to try and get some audio to put on the blog some day!!

AArroo Lilly!! We will have to agree with Brutus. We will add, our cat sounds, humans noises, mom is convinced Lily says bbaaaaaaby. Bottom line, we DO NOT sound like doggies.

Awww it's so sweet that Lilly has a feminine little arooo. teehee. I have a very undignified grunting noise I make at times...almost a gurgle-grunt. Hard to explain!
AireKisses,
BabyRD

I make a very human sounding whine. It always makes mama laugh. We have never heard a Westie or Scottie's arooo. Funny what your daddy calls you.

I always love it when they find their voice!!

Charlie (the Wheaten) is VERY vocal! I think if he had a previous life, he was a politician, because he's always going on about something and of course I've encouraged him! Goldens are a quiet breed and not typically barkers, but we have a few that don't know or care about that! :-)

We remember hearing your arrroooo and finally knowing what it meant.

Us? You know. We're really really quiet. Except for my occasional VeryHappyVeryLoudVeryDeep bark. And Fergi's even more occasional VeryHighPitchedVeryShyYip. But Moma seems happy with us and our voices. So we're okay with them, too.

Your pals. Thanks for sticking with us.

Hi RCS and Mom,
Bambi is a very quiet dog! She hardly ever says anything. Sometimes I wish she would tell me when she wants to go out or come in. She just stands there and WAITS !!!
Thanks for your visit and good wishes. I am healing, thanks to the power of the paw, up very good!!
This cold is something else!!! It was 18 degrees this AM. If we had the moisture, we would have the snow!!!!!!!!!!!
