IT'S TRUE COLOURS THURSDAY - PINK

Good Morning,

And welcome to True Colours Thursday. True Colours Thursday is the brain child of Blue over at My True Colours blogspot. Anyone is welcome to join in - just comment on her blog and link back to her and you're in. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the color is PINK. Everyone knows someone who has been touched by this disease. And if you haven't had a recent mammogram, schedule it today. Early detection is the best way to find cancer.

We have to apologize for the lack of pictures this week of our beautiful selves. Our Mom has been lax on taking any pictures -she says you don't want to see dogs that need grooming so she has not photographed us at all.

Mom has been saving
Scottie themed fabrics
to make a quilt like this.
(and we know this is stretching pink a bit)
We think she will make the bodies
either black, brindle or wheaten,
but we know she'll jazz up
the jackets with some great old feedsack
and some tartans.

And what is pink about this picture?
See our sissy's pockets,
they are trimmed in pink.

The moon coming up
over Rocky Creek Farm
sends a pink glow to the sky.

The Pink Panther
is one of our favorite cartoon characters.
Do you have that
earworm yet?

Mikes Hard Lemonade
is doing a tribute
to breast cancer survivors
and supporting research.
We haven't taste tested this yet,
but Mom might like it -
we doubt that she would let us try it.

Have a wonderful Thursday
and please remind your
Moms, Grandmas, Aunties, Sisters, Daughters and Friends that
MAMMOGRAMS SAVE LIVES.
And to schedule one today.

XOXO
Piper, Carrleigh and Java

PS - Mom has just told us that Lilly is coming home today!!

I'm gonna be looking for some Pink Lemonade, Mikes that is...

PS.
I was intending to say before that, if I found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, I would also have to get a Scottie doggie, and a Cairn doggie, and my Shih Tzus. I love all the wee breeds. And one day I met a Shorkie, want one of them too! A full blood Shih Tzu mixed w/ a full blood Yorkie. She was a solid black and soft and shiny and sweet. I had to pet her.
Her name is Duchess..

What a delightful post! It gave us a little insight into your life and that was a nice way to start our day. We LOVE the pink Scottie on the quilt. It's so sweet and soft. Moma has been saving patchwork Scottie patterns cuz she likes the shape so much. AND your sissie's pink pocket trim was a perfect thing to let her pop into your post! Yay! That made us happy, just like her smile suggests. And the pink sky!!! We love it when we get a chance to see one... and now we've seen one over Rocky Creek Farm!

Sending welcome home wishes to Lilly!

How nice of you to dedicate your post to breast cancer awareness! My mother-in-law (who is a 10-year survivor) is sitting right next to me!
Now, don't everyone forget about their colons either - prevent another all-too common killer, colon cancer with screening every 3-5 years!!
