NOW FOR SOME MORE OF THE STORY...

Now as some of you know,
I, Lilly,
was thrilled to see Carrleigh
go on her merry way.

On the other hand,
I really hated to see my Sissy leave.

Mom and Dad
took a little longer
than Piper and I
thought they should take
when they took
Sissy and Carrleigh
to the airport.

When they got home,
they had a big surprise
for us.

When the car door opened,
out jumped my sweetie, Argie!!

Argie, Piper and I
are having a great time
playing together.

Argie is going to stay
with us for a few weeks
while his Mom, Lizbeth,
is having some chemotherapy.
Please send her some
"power of the paw".
We are praying daily
for her recovery.

(Just so you know -
this is not Argyle, the puppy.
It is another Argyle -
it is who the puppy was named for.)

Argie's peeps have a new hobby.
They have started keeping bees.
When he came,
he brought us a jar of honey
from their first harvest.
It is great on a hot, buttered biscuit!!

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Argie and Ivy

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE....

Our sweet sissy
came to visit us last week.

We kind of got suspicious
when Mom started teaching
her how to groom us.
She had never done that before!!

And then we saw
the Sherpa Crate
come out.
YEAH!!
We knew for sure that one of us
was going on vacation.

Before long,
Mom and Sissy
started helping
Carrleigh
get her things together.

Carrleigh had a long flight
but now she is a
California Princess.
She even has her own blog!
You can visit her
at
California Dreamin'.

We sure do miss our
California girls
but we know they will
be so happy together.

We are thrilled
knowing that our Sissy
has Carrleigh to watch over her.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper and Ivy

ATTENTION SCOTTIE OWNERS - HELP SCOTTIES THROUGH PROJECT DOG.ORG

(From Cindy Cooke) Dr. Mark W. Neff has a research lab associated with the Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids Michigan. You can read about his work at http://projectdog.org/about. His team has developed a simple, short survey to collect information about Scottish Terriers. This survey will only be active for ONE week so it is imperative that you do two things immediately: 1. Complete the survey and, 2. Share this e-mail with all your Scottie friends on the internet.

All Scottish Terriers are welcome to participate. At the end of the survey, if you wish to participate further, you will have an option to request a free DNA kit which will be mailed to your home.

By filling out Dr. Neff's Scottish Terrier Health Survey, you have an opportunity to truly advance ongoing research efforts in our breed and every Scottish Terrier can be part of the solution to improving canine health. Please consider taking this simple 2 minute- 100% CONFIDENTIAL- survey about our Scottish Terriers at:
http://projectdog.org/3261bb1d1d1d41080ae3a3a3b917b685
Those of you who have already contributed a sample in the past to Dr. Neff’s research projects, please take the survey to answer questions and update information about your Scottish Terriers.

Dr. Neff needs 1000 responses and it must be done in one week. Survey responders will be the first to receive feedback and research updates. Twenty-five years ago, the Scottish Terrier community combined with a Michigan research team to develop the first ever DNA test for a canine genetic disease. I hope you will join with this new team to continue our history of supporting genetic research that will benefit our dogs and us in the future.

Feel free to contact Cindy Cooke at anstamm@charter.net with any questions. With the participation of the Scottish Terrier community you can look forward to updates from Dr. Neff on this survey and other research results!

Thank you for your help.
Other breeds will be questioned
in the future.

THERE'S A NEW SCOTTIE ON THE BLOCK..

If you've been following us
for a while,
you'll remember
that a couple of years ago,
Carrleigh and Piper
had a litter of nine puppies.

One of those puppies
was a sweet little girl
named Scarlet.

This past March,
Scarlet had a litter of
seven puppies
of her own.

Guess what -
one of those puppies
has a blog.

His name is
Ranger
and if you click
on his name
it will take
you to his blog.

He's a real cutie
but we didn't want to snag
any of his pictures
without his permission.

We know he'd love to have a visit.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ivy

SCOTTISH IS...
