BIG BOY HAIR CUTS

Remember how in every picture we took,
Jock and Fergus
were always together.

Even now,
though they live in the same state
but over a 100 miles apart,
they are still doing the same things.

You might follow Jock's blog
because he is now
Todd
and lives with a herd of
Golden Retrievers at Golden Pines.

This weekend,
Todd got his first big boy haircut!!
His groomer
left him looking more like a puppy
than most groomers do
and we think he looks so sweet -
he has an adolescent
Scottie look -
we just hope he's not going through
"the terrible twos!!".

Liam (Fergus) who lives with his
big brother Monty,
really got the big boy look!!

Some things never change -
remember those eyes were always
the focus in every picture
we took of him -
and he's still got
those wonderful
"Piper" eyes.

WHEW!! WHAT A BUSY WEEKEND!!

As most of you know,
this past weekend
was the
Southwestern Virginia
Scottish Terrier Club's
Specialty Show.

We had to stay at home,
but Mom and Dad
went both days
and really enjoyed it.

There was a silent auction.

A bazaar table with 100's of
Scottie items.

Lectures on ring presentation,
Scottie grooming, health issues
and reproductive issues.

Old friends got to visit
with one another.

And Mom made a lot
of new friends.

REMEMBER WHEN OUR MOM COULDN'T COUNT?

Well, it seems that must run
in Carrleigh's family.

Many of you remember
about 2 years ago
when our Mom posted that
Carrleigh had 7 puppies
and had to come back later
and tell you there were 2 more.

This sweet little Scarlet
was the darkest girl
in that group of seven puppies.

This is what she looked like
when we last saw her.
Doesn't she look happy in her
forever home!!

She's been busy there,
growing into a
mighty fine Scottish lassie.

Now,
she's a Mom too.

She pulled the same trick Carrleigh did.
Scarlet's Mom emailed us on Saturday
and told us that Scarlet had 5
little black puppies.
Then on Sunday,
we got another email
saying she was wrong -
Scarlet had another puppy.

Scarlet and all six
of her little brood are doing great
and she is a fantastic Mom.

That makes Carrleigh and Piper
a
Grandma and Grandpa -
and there are
5 new uncles
and 3 new aunts out there
so
CELEBRATE!!

THE SCOTTISH TERRIER CLUB OF WESTERN VIRGINIA 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIALTY SHOW

This weekend marks the
50th Anniversary
of
The Scottish Terrier Club
of
Western Virginia.

There will be a very informative seminar
on Friday
and a
Scottie specialty show
on Saturday.

This lovely cross-stitch picture
will be raffled off.

PIPE THE PIPES ~~~~~ BEAT THE DRUMS

It's Carrleigh's
"GOTCHA DAY"

This is the picture
that Mom was sent
when Carolyn let her know
that she wanted her to have Carrleigh -
isn't she elegant!!

But she's been so much fun-
we've never seen any dog
that likes to play "dress-up"
as much as Carrleigh does.

She's been a great
Mom and Aunt
to some wonderful clans of puppies.

And now we want to announce
her retirement!!
For her retirement,
she will be moving to
sunny, southern California
to live with our wonderful Sissy -
the rest of us are all jealous,
but we know Carrleigh
not only deserves to be
"Queen for a Day",
she needs to be a
queen for the rest of her life -
and she will be.
We couldn't be happier for
both of them.

HAPPY FIVE MONTH BIRTHDAY TO THE SWEET BABES

Remember 5 months ago,
when on a rainy Saturday afternoon,
Carrleigh had eight "sweet babes".
This is what Arlo looked like then.

And here he is today -
with his new big boy haircut!!

Happy 5 month birthday to
Jazzi, Sophie, Stirling,
Todd, Liam, McIntyre, Parker and Arlo.

FALL IS FALLING......

So many signs around us
point to Fall being in the air.

Beautiful intricate spider webs.

Sometimes,
they even have spiders in them!!

Snakes changing their clothing
for larger sizes.

Us, having to wear our raincoats
to go for our walkies
because of the Fall hurricane season.

what

we

didn't

see,

but Mom saw him

and she cleverly steered us away.

As we were walking one day this week,
in the rain,
Mom saw a six-foot long black snake
start to cross our road -
she averted a scary situation
by directing our attention elsewhere
so that he could cross in peace.

WHEW!!

PIPER'S PUPPIES PARADE PROUDLY

Say that fast three times
while you look at these cuties!!

You might remember
back in the Winter,
our man, Piper,
got a bit worn out
from visiting with the ladies.

Not only did he have Carrleigh
here at home,
but he visited two other ladies.

And one of the ladies, Miss DeDe,
had three cute little puppies.
