Generally,
we have to go
to the top of the hill
to get our mail,
but occasionally
the mail-man
comes to our house-
and when he does,
it's usually something special.
Last week,
Dad heard him outside
and went out and checked.
When he came back in,
he said,
"Do the Rocky Creek Scotties
know anyone in the UK?"
We just had to snicker --
the Rocky Creek Scotties
know dogs on most all continents!!
Dad is way behind the times.
We must say,
Dad was most impressed
that the Queen traveled all the way
across the Atlantic to visit us.
But our special furiends,
Sally and Paddy,
had sponsored a contest
when William and Catherine
got married
and we were one of the lucky winners.
And the ironic thing is
that about 15 minutes
after our package arrived,
we saw on the news that
William and Kate
had arrived in the US.
Mom is really enjoying
using her new mug
and dessert plate -
she thinks it's just perfect for breakfast.
Check out this great commemorative bag -
won't it be great for carrying home
some good treats!
But this is Mom's favorite -
A Peter Clark Scottee tea towel -
check out the pattern, it's maps
and our Dad is a Geography teacher
so that makes it doubly special.
Mom wants to have a tray made
with a glass insert
so she can put the towel under the glass.
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Sally, Paddy and your Peeps.
XOXO
