Mom's Studio
now has one wall up -
more to come!!

Unfortunately for Mom,
we are going to have to use it for storage
for a bit before it is turned over to her.

But it makes her feel
as if progress is being made.

MURPHY EXPERIENCES HIS FIRST RAIN

Our little guy, Murphy,
who lives in Arizona,
got to see his first rain this week.

His mom, Debi,
said "he loved the raindrops
and ran around in the back yard
trying to catch them".

She also says,
"He is quite the little man".

We're so happy he is in a great home
and that they love him so much.
We love him too!

CELEBRITIES VISIT ROCKY CREEK FARM

Last Spring we received a message
from Jake and Fergi
telling us that they would
like to come visit
and bring their Moma and Ninagirl
to Rocky Creek Farm.


We immediately wrote them back
and said we'd welcome them with open paws.
And ever since we have been
looking forward to that date
on our calendar.

Yesterday, we helped Mom and Dad
get ready for their visit.

Soon we got an email that said -
"we're 20 minutes away"
and we all got so excited.
This was a dream come true for us.

See how well Sally can give scritches
and hold Fergi at the same time -
she is a very talented lady!

Jake got to experience
his first drink of the "hard stuff" -
good ole Canada Dry GingerAle!!
Dad took pity on him though -
and got him a bowl of water
which was more to his liking.

Jake loved the porch swing -
he even let his Ninagirl
share it with him.

And Fergi went with her Moma, Nina and Dad
on the "grand tour".

Whilst Jake stayed behind with Mom.

Their visit was over too soon -
and we already miss them.
We hope they come and visit us again soon.

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON...and a CONTEST!!

Today, we got some pictures
from Bailey Sweet.
Mom thought he looked so much like Piper,
that she wanted to post their pictures together
so you could see.

But Piper

hid in his crate,

stuck out his tongue

and had the nerve
to smirk at Mom!!

But we can tell you one thing -
"the apple didn't fall very far from the tree".

And for that CONTEST -
our friends over at Scampering Scotties
are running a contest to win one of
their beautiful collars -
if you go by and say hi,
you might get lucky and win.

WE'RE PATIENTLY WAITING............

Our Piper is on his way back
from his vacation with
Miss De-De.

He had his personal chauffeur
ring us up
and he should be here
within the hour.

We hope he'll be glad to see us
and still knows who we are.

OUT OF THE OFFICE

There is a lot going on
at our house,
so Mom says we have to be
"OUT OF THE OFFICE"
for a few days.

If you need to bark at us,
just leave a comment
or send an email.

We're home and will
still be sniffing around,
but it will probably be about 10 days
before we are back to blog.

WE HAD THE NICEST VISIT

On Sunday,
we got an email
from
The Roving VanGelders
saying they would like
to stop by for a visit.
We were all excited
that we would get
to meet Pippi.
She travels all over the country
with her sweet peeps.

One of the neatest things about Pippi
is that she can be trusted off leash.
She just hopped out of the car
and came straight to Mom
(who by the way did not take enough pictures).

Abigail and Josh and Mom
just gabbed away
like they had known each other furever.
Each of us got to come out
for a visit with them
as they sat on the porch
and had drinks and munchies.
Mom didn't want to overwhelm them
with all of us at once.
We loved getting to visit with
their little family.

And we hope they come back again.
They are welcome anytime.

THE NAME GAME - HAPPY 4th of JULY

We've seen on many of your post
that you are playing the
Fourth of July Name Game
along with Frankie Furter
so we decided that we'd play along.

Before Lilly came along,
Mom had already decided
that her name would be Bonny Greer.
But when she finally found Lilly,
the breeder had nicknamed her Lilly
and since Mom's great-grandmother's
maiden name was Lilly and she
married a man whose last name was Greer,
Mom decided that
Spencer's Lilly Greer
would be the new puppy's name.

When Piper was born,
we were expecting him to be fairly red,
so we picked out the name Ruairi.
But someone else who was getting
a puppy from his litter chose the name
before we got to choose ours.
So Mom and Dad had to come up with
another name for him -
he is
Rocky Creek's Bag Piper.

Carrleigh came to us
with her name in place.
Since she had already
had a litter of puppies
before we got her,
AKC wouldn't let us change her name.
Her name is
Impish Carrleigh Kilbride.

When we lost Java,
Mom and Dad
decided they were going to keep Ruairi.
But they considered giving him a name like
Rocky Creek's Mocha Java
in honor of our sweet Java Bean.
But then they realized no matter what
he was named,
it wouldn't bring back our Javaman.
So they went with part of the name,
they had originally chosen for Piper.
He is
Ruairi Coinneach of Rocky Creek Farm -
"the handsome red king".

IN ONE MORE MONTH.........

Our sissy will be coming to visit us.
We always have so much fun
while she is here.

Sometimes she likes to
ride our cousin's horses.

She always has time to
blow bubbles for us to chase.

And catching lightning bugs
always brings a smile to her face.

Sometimes she speaks
at our family reunion -
her voice is full of passion and love.

She always has time to
play with us.

And we can hardly wait
to see her again.
