A STRANGE COMBINATION

This morning,
before we got out of bed,
Mom received the telephone call
that schools would
be on two hour delay today.

She thought it was because of the snow.

But when daybreak came,
she went outside,
thinking it was still snowing.

But in reality,
it is fog.

Snow is on the ground,

but thick fog is surrounding us.

Incredible!!

XOXO

  1. Lucky for Mom. We had a sudden spurt of a very fine mist come through aroung 5:30 this morning. First thing you know, a whole bunch of accidents and a number of school closings. Now it has stopped but the bitter temps and wind are on the way in.

Have a great day with Mom home.

  5. We had about an inch of ice last night before I went to bed. Today it's foggy and gray. We live across the street from a school and it's not in session yet so guess they must have closed for the day. Lots of love, Holly and mom

  9. We don't like fog. It feels funny on our whiskers and Mom id afraid of it because it causes so many accidents. We have gray skies and rain today.

  10. This post reminds me of when I was at school in Nottingham (back in the dark ages). If the fog was so bad that the headmistress could not see the trees in the park across the road from her office, then we would be sent home at lunchtime!

  11. Our Virginian relatives love those 2-hour delays. We get a few very thick fogs a year here, too. But we know it'll fine up into a gorgeous day.

Don't tell your Mom that if she goes to pikipimp.com she can do funny things to your photos for free.

  16. I heard my momma and daddy talking about maybe getting a snow day on Thursday. Here in Kansas it doesn't take much to close everything down.
