SHH!! - DON'T TELL LILLY (or DAD)

Before we start,
we want to show you
the Thursday morning sky
over Rocky Creek Farm.

We were doing everything we could think of
to make Mom feel better.
Piper even got some dirty kleenexes
out of the bathroom trashcan
and shredded them all over
the living room floor.
Java was standing around looking
all pitiful and whining.
We were trying to tell Mom
that she needed our Granny's remedy
to make her feel better.

PoPcOrN!!

And so she fixed us some
in the middle of the day
while Dad was at school.
He's trying to cut down on his carbs
so he doesn't eat popcorn anymore.
SHH!!! - It's our secret!!

TRUE COLOURS THRUSDAY - SILVER

Good Morning,
And welcome to
True Colours Thurday.
Miss Blue is our host today
and our color is SILVER.
If you'd like to play along,

It's that easy.

When Mom and Dad
went to the Scottie Specialty Show,
the room seemed to be full
of silver grooming arms.

And one handler had this big silver case
full of those torturous tools.

When Mom grooms us,

the first thing she does is
use these silver wire combs to
make sure we are combed out
and don't have any tangles.


And then she uses the clippers
with silver blades
to clean up our face and ears,
being very careful not to
touch our beards with them.

She then uses
silver stripping "knives"
on our backs and tails
and our skirts
so we can keep our pleasing
wirey coats.

And silver scissors like this
to blend everything in
and cut off any hair that
sticks out where it shouldn't be.

IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY - IS MOM FLYING AWAY?

We know for a fact
that Mom doesn't
play with pigs.
But the doctor seems to think
if she's not extremely careful
that one might visit our house.

And Lilly is away
doing heaven knows what
with
Debonair Lad.
And Java went into retirement
some time ago.


So we are stuck
taking care of Mom
making sure that
the influenza
doesn't attract a litter of pigs
or make her fly away.

We would ask for your help
because we know their are some
very capable nurses out there,
but Mom is quarantined
until she sees the doctor next Tuesday.
But we know that Mom believes in
"the Power of the Paw",
"AireZen"
and
"Terrier Triumphs"
Please send some her way.

TODAY SHOW REPORTS SCAM

Last month someone hacked into our sissy's Facebook account and sent out emails to all of her friends stating she was stranded overseas and needed to have money wired to her. Thankfully, most of her friends are savvy and started calling her cell phone to see how she was doing and she was fine - sitting in Hennesey's at Dana Point, CA having breakfast.

This morning, we saw on the TODAY SHOW that this is becoming more common among social networking sights. Should anyone contact you asking for money, you need to verify the request before sending them your hard earned savings.

Yes, we know this is a pet blog, but pet owners need to be careful too. Sometimes the world is not truthful, be careful out there.

Here In This House

Many of you had the opportunity to go to a church service yesterday and receive a blessing - our church didn't do that but we wish it did. While wandering around, Mom found this on Holly's blog and it so perfectly describes how she feels about us.

Here In This House

I will never know the loneliness I hear
in the barks of the other dogs, 'out there'.
I can sleep soundly, assured that when I wake
my world will not have changed.
I will never know hunger,
or the fear of not knowing if I'll eat.
I will not shiver in the cold,
or grow weary from the heat.
I will feel the sun's heat and the rain's coolness,
and be allowed to smell all that can reach my nose.
My fur will shine, and never be dirty or matted.
Here in this house...

There will be an effort
to communicate with me on my level.
I will be talked to and, even if I don't understand,
I can enjoy the warmth of the words.

so that I may know who I am among many
My name will be used in joy,
and I will love the sound of it!

I will never be a substitute for anything I am not.
I will never be used
to improve peoples' images of themselves.

not someone's idea of who I should be.

If I do not learn my lessons well,

sometimes, be as kind and as fair as dogs.

OUR LIFE IS A BIT DIFFERENT THIS WEEK

There's a party going on right here
A celebration that last through out the yearsWell, at least there should be.
But Mom keeps looking at baby pictures

of Piper

And Little Lillybug

And Lilly,
when she wasn't even as big
as a frog.

And when she stuck her tongue out at Mom-
what a feisty puppy she was.

Piper is so lonely
because he doesn't understand
why Lilly had to go visit
a new boyfriend
and stay gone for a week or more.
We don't know yet when
she will be coming home.

And Java is mad
because it gives Mom more time
to pay attention to him.

But Carrleigh says,
"Yahoo, it's party time"
