WHAT TO DO ON A FALL DAY
This morning as Dad left for school,
we stepped out onto the porch and looked around.
The cattle are grazing on this wonderful rainy Fall day.
The leaves are getting more colorful every day.
The blue birds have left our lone little birdhouse.
Ruairi has already been bathed and dried.
So has Piper.
We girls wait in apprehension, because we know we'll be next.
And then after everyone is bathed and dried, the stripping and clipping will start.
And it will look like Mom has been plucking chickens in our living room.
It's so beautiful there Lynn!! We are just starting to see some real color here, and some real shedding too!! Ruairi looks so handsome and I'll bet when Todd is all grown up, right down to the collars, you won't be able to tell the two apart!
Oh I think I would like to be outside with Ivy on one of your rainy Fall days, romping around enjoying the beautiful colours and not being stripped and clipped! Toodle pip! Bertie.
Your home is SOOO beautiful!!!!! That's just the kind of place where Darcy would love to play. Speaking of... I think she is needing a little stripping and clipping herself. Are you interested in another chicken to pluck?? :)
It's so nice to see the fall colors already. It's the only thing I miss about the northeast. Piper and Ruairi look so handsome, can't wait to see the girls!
At least you can look at that most bootiful view and know soon you'll be wunning awoud sniffing those wondewful fall smells that should help you thwoo the gwooming owdeal smoochie kisses ASTA
