A NEW DAY - A NEW TRICK
The first thing every morning, we put the puppies in their basket in the middle of the bed.
This morning they were more active than usual so we really kept a close eye on them.
Dad had been telling us that we needed to take the pillow out of their basket and as usual, Dad is right.
Fergus was the first one to take the plunge. After that then everyone decided that it might be fun so we had to hurry and get them back in the puppy box.
Now we are wondering which one will be the first to learn to escape it.
ARRROOO!!
XOXO Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh, Ruairi and The Sweet Babes
Uh oh, I've been waiting for this moment. What fun! Fergus really likes to steal the show, and he has the true Scottie spirit. They all are so beautiful.
Looks like that box isn't high enough to keep them from escaping either! My puppies used to escape by slamming onto the sliding door altogether at one shot in order to make it collapse. The door just could not take their strength.
Cuter than cute. My fingers are itching to get a hold of one. I remember when Bug was that little I use to fall asleep with her on top of me until she would fall asleep and I could put her back in her bed.
OH MY! We are Yorkie people, but! Your puppies and doggies are Perfect! I would love to have Fergus! He's my kind of guy! Thanks for the fun of looking!!! It is good you are so far from So. Cal!!
Oh those dear babies...tell them I am sending a small purple ladder to aid them in their escape!!
You asked about Stan's litter size....Stan's mom, Bubbles had eaten some rocks (unknown to hoomans) while she was nesting before whelping. Twelve hours after she whelped, she developed a bowel obstruction (three rocks) but didn't survive the surgery. Their other female "Aunt Susie" whelped eight puppies two days later, with the grand total being 17. Aunt Susie was a saint as was his brokenhearted breeder. They gave a lot of bottles to those pups and Susie nursed them all too. His litter was named "Yachts of Fun" showing the sarcastic humor of his breeder...all the dogs had nautical names...Stan was "Sailor"....I don't think they got much sleep for the first month.
Mumsie's just mad she never saw him as a tiny pup. We only got him at seven months and 45 pounds. And they had just gotten me six months before. Three puppies in two years...Mumsie bout lost it!!
It's a good thing I'm in California and not close to you. I'd be there all day playing with the puppies!!!
