HERE'S THE UPDATE MANY OF YOU HAVE ASKED FOR

First, we must apologize for the quality
of some of these photographs -
the combination of the sunshine
and the cool morning air
seemed to make our camera less efficient.

Many of you have had questions about
Mom's studio and the progress
that is being made on it.

It is a 24 X 14 foot structure
with a 6 foot porch along the front.

As you can see,
basically the outside structure is finished.
There are no steps yet -
and Mom has short legs
so it is hard for her to go
in and out of it.

She is planning to cover the cinder block
with a stone facade.
There will probably be a ramp
at the double doors.
There will be steps going up onto the porch -
but she hasn't determined
if they will come from the end
or go up the center -
there are pros and cons to both ways.

The cupola still needs a weathervane on it -
Scotties or witch -
she hasn't decided on that yet either.

The inside walls are still just frame -
when she actually gets ready to inhabit
the building, Dad will insulate the walls
and put up bead-board.

Since this is the first phase
of their building plans,
this building will be used for storage -
Mom is hoping that it will only be
a storage space for a year -
but the way time is flying,
it might take a bit longer.

When she goes in there,
she envisions it with
storage spaces,
glaze pots,
clay bricks
and a potter's wheel in the center.
She dreams....
but this is the first step to
realizing her dream -
everything in life starts with a small step.

See that swing in the above picture -
that will someday be hanging
on the porch of her studio.
It was original to our house
which was built in 1898.
We have the mate to it
on our front porch.

When Mom steps out the front door
and looks slightly to her left,
this is the view.

And look who came over this morning
to say "hi" -
Mom's very own cow - #100.

This is the view to her right.

And here is what she sees if she looks
straight ahead.
If you look close,
you can see Carrleigh
behind the tree.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

XOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ruairi

  22. How wonderful? We are very jelly of your studio! Would you rent it out to two little Wires from England?
We think your cow needs a different name - 100 is very catchy - but maybe something like Daisy or Mable?
