We are three gorgeous (and loved) Scottish Terriers who share our lives with our people and our "Heinz 57" on a farm in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Please join us in our day to day experiences.
Our Mom says "Life is so much merrier with a Scottish Terrier".
And our furiend and fellow Scottie, Snazzi Jazzi was right in her prediction - Ruairi got to go next.
Ruairi was really starting to look pretty scruffy. In fact, Mom was afraid that if he got loose someone might mistake him for a pesky groundhog!
So she worked on him a bit. He's still not finished. Mom is trying to learn to hand strip so she is taking all of us to see her mentor on Friday - she has shown many dogs and is a "pro" at Scottie grooming - she will instruct Mom on how to get the Ruairi Boy in great shape - and then we'll have a real "after" photo.
Once Lilly was finished with her transformation, Mom decided Carrleigh would be next.
Carr is a portly girl who starts looking a bit like a sheep when she needs grooming.
Here she is before Mom got a hold of her. Eyebrows so long you can barely see her eyes.
And here's our beautiful girl after her turn on the grooming table - even the wind cooperated with her and she thought she was a model as it blew across her face.
Who will be next? Only the exhausted Mom knows for sure.
One of the reasons, you haven't seen us around the blogs very much is that we needed grooming so very bad. Today, Mom had to make a choice - groom the dogs or clean the house.
And she chose to groom the dogs - at least until we wear her down.
Look at what a mess Miss Lilly got into - weeds on her beard
and eyebrows so long she could barely see under them - Mom told her she was beginning to look more like a Skye Terrier than a Scottie.
Mom trimmed her a bit with the scissors before she got her bath.
And now look at her - she is still the "queen" of Rocky Creek Farm.
Who will be next? We're hiding out so maybe Mom won't find the rest of us.
Two years ago today, Mom and Dad brought us a surprise - and at first we weren't so sure that we liked it. They left us (Lilly and Piper) at the Spa while they traveled to Paducah, KY to pick up our sweet Carrleigh. We worked things out and now we all get along great. We're happy we have her.
